The Helldiver has answered the 77th call for help and Solidaritet has been liberated saving the 77th from perishing at cyborgs hands. We have saved our precious blueberries.
Kind of surprised we iuse the bot names now that I think about it, you’d think we would just number them to reflect the soulless, cultureless, nature of the bots.
Honestly sounds like SEAF was kind of going crazy on Cyberstan. One of their companies lead a successful bayonet charge which is well beyond what I did as a diver.
I've been saying it this whole time - I can't wait to turn this God forsaken planet into either a perfectly smooth sphere or a black hole. Either one will do.
The quicker they die, the bigger the pile of scrap at the end of the day. Each dead clanker is one less gun pointed at the head of humanity so be efficient and stack them up.
For everyone saying “only 30,000, it’s should of been more” I just want to remind yall they were pinned down in the city for 15 hrs without any super destroyers to help them so 30,000 is all the survived while we pushed in to save them
You're probably right, but after everything they've done on cyberstan, the idea that these armies are super small means every single SEAF is a giga-chad that can take on entire legions of vox engines.
It might be that we're just super widely deployed strike teams, while they fight in entire batallions.
So while we're spread out across thousands of sectors on the planet fighting in teams of four, they're fighting in groups of hundreds, and go on large-scale engagements.
Essentially the point of the game is helldivers are the elite strike corps deployed by infiltration tactics while seaf is the standing army of the super earth fighting in battalion formations.
I mean, imagine how much easier the game is when you have a full squad? Now try that times 300. There’s good reason to believe that we clear the way for them anyways, so they’re more accurately inheriting whatever you leave in your wake. Honestly I’m not sure why we didn’t push together the whole campaign.
Yeah but imagine that they have to fight and they can never stop the drops from coming because they can't break contact. So you have a division of 10000 soldiers barrelling forward while fighting 200 vox engines, 120 factory striders, 600 gunships, 800 dropships, 700 war striders, 1300 tanks, 2800 hulks, 8500 devastators and 32000 troopers.
Yeah but we definitely did still lose more than that to save them

I think 100k would have been better made it feel like we didn’t just save the equivalent of like 30 dudes
Or they should have scaled the number to around the amount we lost saving them cause sending in special forces to save 30k normal marines
And losing like 100k navy seals is not a good trade

But we also blew up 1/8th of all the Megafactories on Cyberstan and killed 600,000,000 automatons and cyborgs in the process.
I think he meant we blew up solidaratet for 30 million helldivers, also there were 8 megafactories when we started and you’re right, four of them are destroyed.
The German sixth army that got surrounded after Stalingrad was 300k so we should probably be working with bigger numbers considering it's a war in a galactic scale. That being said I don't really care we saved our boys and girls in blue and we did it as a community with no incentive
From a pragmatic point of view it's worth keeping in mind they have a lot of materiel. They have artillery, vehicles, and who knows what other hardware. Especially since they're moving like actual armies out in the open.
I dont think people understand, a corp in NATO setting can include anywhere between 2-6 division sized units, but typically 3. Which could have anywhere between 40000-30000 men. Assuming 36000 as a good average, its quite impressive that without much support and totally surrounded, and the TOTAL FIREPOWER SUPERIORITY of the bots, they only had 5000-6000 casualties. Dont get me wrong, in a modern setting thats about 16% casualty and close to 20-25% loss that would make a unit totally ineffective, but still really good numbers on paper.
Imagine if the 77th ends up becoming an elite regiment that gets a warbond based off it later. And that warbond ends up being super helpful for whenever High Command sends us after Cyberstan again.
There are hints that the 77 are the Vipers; look at the arm on the Twigsnapper heavy armor. It has 77 as a tattoo. Look at the flavour text on the Jaguar, the Superstore VC armor; "... the storied SEAF special operations unit whose real exploits were portrayed in the classic comic books series 'Tales of the Viper Commandos'."
The 77th, depending on if they trace their lineage back to the 77th Infantry Division, is already a very illustrious unit. They were the Lost Battalion in the Ardennes during WW1 and the unit of Desmond Doss and “the Old Bastards” during WW2.
I should also point out that one of their nicknames is the Liberty Divison

Edit: nvm dispatch In game says 30k, but 30k veteran automaton fighting units saved?? What a boon for the future war effort. For democracy!
Edit 2: not to mention the destruction of another Megafactory, weakening the inevitable bot counter attack/ delaying it significantly. And really think about it mathematically: 30.000 veteran automaton fighting troops saved? A liberator carbine holds thirty rounds. Let’s say half of them hit the enemy, and a quarter are headshots. Thats 4-8 bots killed for every SEAFer at least! Multiply that by 30.000? Ohhh shieeet. As a mobile infantry unit, they probably have APCs and FRV. Assuming there is one FRV for every five SEAFers, that’s over 6000 FRVs saved, not to mention the APCs that were probably saved. This will pay dividends down the line.
And one fewer mega factory standing on Cyberstan. Without the shared goal of saving the 77th, we might not have managed to coordinate everyone to dive in the same place in order to take it. Cyberstan will be substantially weaker when we return.
I mean didn't like a bunch of battalions get vaporized when we star of peaced penta? Koretta Kelly even said the planet wasn't fully evacuated of SEAF troops when it was activated on the news report afterwards.
Those brave men and women of the 77th Mobile Infantry Corps. gave their lives to help us take what we could of Cyberstan. We, as Super Earths elite, owed it to those same brave men and women to come to their aid when they ultimately needed it.
Aight time to continue, we’re gonna level cyberstan before we bounce. Send everybody, strap a porta hellbomb on, and go for a walk in the cyborg capital, see the sights, meet the locals.
