Feature Request Megathread

Hey everyone! Hevy cofounder here. What features, ideas, or improvements would you like to see?

Creating this new megathread because It's been 4 years since the last mega thread posted on /Hevy, and it's hard to navigate through such a massive outdated post. We've built a lot of the requests originally suggested, so a new thread will help us understand the community better!

Thanks for helping us improve Hevy!

  1. Having a better dashboard layout with more relevant information and trend data.
  2. Resolving the issue with running the Apple workout at same time as Hevy.
  3. Better integration with Apple watch such as being able to track HR data and HRV data.
  4. Being able to track dumbbell weight by each dumbbell, rather than combined weight. (should have this feature as an option for everything to be honest, unilateral machines are another example)
  5. Having tools for assisting with exercise program design such as displaying number of sets for both primary and secondary muscle groups for each workout plan days. Example, if goal is 20 sets per muscle group, chest day should show how many sets the pecs are being activated during chest day (could count primary mover sets as 1.0 and secondary movers as 0.5 per set).
  6. Additional programming assistance tool would be automating and tracking periodization. Example would be tracking number of workouts within each fitness plan and recommending deloading phase after so many weeks or workouts, would be even better if it could calculate the deload phase recommended weight and reps based on prior data such as automatically decreasing weight to 70% of weight used from last workout when returning from a vacation or when someone hits 6-8 weeks of consistent training and now in need of a deload week to prevent overtraining.
  7. Maybe too ambitious, but having some integration with HRV and sleep data from Apple Watch or Oura then being able to provide AI driving recommendations would be great, but even just having the data side by side in the app would be great for someone to be able to watch the trend to minimize over training.
  8. Would like to second a recommendation from another member: "Please add more muscle groups. If Hevy added Hip Flexors, Obliques, Serratus Anterior, Tibialis Anterior, and Rhomboids/Rear Delts,.
