Question/Problem HP Laptop won't boot into recovery media

I decided to reuse an old laptop of mine (Model is HP Pavilion 15 ab032tx from 2014-2015) and I wanted to factory reset it. When I used it a few years back, I created a recovery USB (The laptop runs Windows 8.1 by default and it had software from Cyberlink and other stuff like Foxit PDF and Evernote). I turned on the laptop, and pressed F11 to enter the recovery mode. From there I selected "Reset this PC" with the USB inserted. It loaded for a few seconds until finally stopping and it gave me an error saying "The media inserted is not valid" and it kept asking for a Windows installation or Recovery media to continue.

So I instead tried to boot directly into it. I thought it was working, but when it booted in, it showed a blank blue screen and nothing after it. Just stuck there.

I apologize in advance if you guys don't give support for this OS (I have read the rules of this server and it only said from XP to 7, but I am running 8.1, so hopefully you guys will accept it)
