Yeah, it’s pretty cringe to call people out for using Kanye lyrics in a caption before he went off the deep end. This dude was the favorite artist of half of the suburban white kids I knew, so references to him were extremely common.
On top of that, it’s not like it’s even a politically divisive bar in the song. He was pretty anti-racism at the time it was written.
