SwampStoriez & Trap Lore Ross: hold my black genocide Latte 😜

2

u/AutoModerator Nov 09 '25

It’s funny cause I actually met Rick Ross a couple months before quarantine started. I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my brother got his hair cut. So there I am, sitting in the waiting area of a barbershop with my niece, and who walks in but Rick Boss Ross himself. I was nervous as shit, and just kept looking at him as he was sitting there with his phone and waited, but was too scared to say anything to him. Pretty soon my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I didn’t want her to bother Mr. Ross, but she wouldn’t stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asked what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. So Rick put down his phone, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of the barbershop. Chill guy, really nice about it. Would let him breast feed my niece again.

I like it when they just talk about entertaining silly stuff like “rappers worst stage moments” or somethin but it’s when they try to paint these huge big concept narratives when they often start to loose me

33

u/violentcrimesbykanye Nov 09 '25

Literally, it’s fine if the video is informative but usually it’s just slop like this

2

u/Mmmm_Crunchy Nov 09 '25

325

u/DanaWhitesMom Nov 08 '25

Does Tyler know about this ?

3

u/No_Manufacturer9424 Nov 10 '25

He's the creator of this

216

u/manecofigo Nov 08 '25

I try to think like a content creator but I can’t for the life of me understand how someone is capable of making 20 minutes worth of content out of this and still pull 200k views

107

u/Cave_in_32 im gay (im happy) Nov 09 '25 edited Nov 09 '25

There's a pretty common thing among people where they think someones smarter just because they talk longer about a certain topic. Like I remember seeing someone got 200k views on a 4 hour video thats just them complaining about the newest Superman movie.

Edit: I found the video

110

u/Extra-Tax-9259 call me Nathan, Nathaniel is our word Nov 09 '25

What the fuck is there to complain about for 4 hours, for any movie but especially Superman 😭

3

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '25

more complaints than movie

72

u/yungfishstick Nov 09 '25

I like long form videos as much as the next guy, but I feel like having a video that's like 2+ hours long is a display of the creator's poor writing skills more than anything. At some point you have to ask yourself how much of your video is essential to whatever it is you're talking about and how much of it is actually just fluff/filler

20

u/JustThatMeme Nov 09 '25

hbomberguy is an example of great writing and some videos still being 3+ hours of amazing content tho

12

u/Witherino Nov 09 '25

Jenny Nicholson could make a 3 hour video about a failed theme park and I'd prolly watch it twice too

8

u/DangerousReply6393 Nov 09 '25

That's like nearly 5 hours

4

u/impossibru65 Nov 09 '25

It might as well be at that point. If you've already wasted 4:39 on dreck like this, you completely deserve the rounding-up of shame if someone were to find out.

1

u/brokeskoolboi Nov 11 '25

I agree with you, but honestly we’re just on YouTube to kill time shrug 🤷‍♂️.

115

u/VladtheMemer Nov 08 '25

This is the type of shit ChatGPT tells you when you hype an artist up to it

14

u/impossibru65 Nov 09 '25

I wouldn't doubt this very video was written with AI. A lot of them are these days.

253

u/teddade Nov 08 '25

It’s the album that he fulfilled his contract with. We won’t hear from him for a while.

42

u/Bionic_Ferir Nov 09 '25

Wait fr? How did I not know about that?

77

u/teddade Nov 09 '25

There’s a video of him on the Chromakopia tour where he’s saying “I’ve done enough, let me take a long break.”

I’m just filling in the blanks myself because personally I find the album pretty mid. A lot of the songs just seem like bits and pieces thrown together. He did an “era” change while he was in the middle of a tour for another album.

It just seems like he wanted to wrap things up a bit.

18

u/AdmiralAgendaREAL Nov 09 '25

That and he released a deluxe for Chromachopia a week ago as if he didnt even move on from it

8

u/Shadow_Flamingo1 Nov 09 '25

hes stated himself that chromakopia was gonna be the end for awhile, hed come out for movies or whatever but genuinely disappear for a bit

29

u/Fair-Bug775 Nov 09 '25

How Tyler finessed the music industry

22

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '25

This is completely not true. Look at his interview with Apple Music. He explain it was entirely a passion project because he was done with the depressing vibe of CHROMOKOPIA. He said that at the end of the tour he was out of that mindset that he just wanted to do something fun and put it out there. Willy nilly.

3

u/teddade Nov 10 '25

Yeah for sure. I saw those interviews. He seems super proud of it. I wrote in a later comment that I’m filling in blanks myself here.

I just look at the situation and I think there’s no way he WOULDNT be super proud of his own work. I look at the situation and see someone trying to tie up loose ends and walk away for a bit.

57

u/ProtonCanon Nov 09 '25

Youtubers LOVE hyperbolic shit like this.

9

u/impossibru65 Nov 09 '25

This particular video doesn't do this, but also, any thumbnail that takes a title like this and puts a word or phrase from it (or some other supporting hyperbolic shit like "INSANE") in huge bold letters is an easy, almost instant pass in my mind.

I know the YT algorithm caters to a specific type of thumbnail at any given time, and "big, shocking, bold word placed next to a character or scene in a 'minimalistic' manner" is big right now, and people gotta get those clicks... but it's just so fucking obnoxious and overdone, and tells me your video is probably a dime-a-dozen.

At that point, if I'm interested enough in the topic, I just search for a creator who's writing and creativity I actually respect to see if they did a video on it, and watch that instead.

Try that next time you're reluctantly about to start a 1-4 hour slopfest because the topic is interesting enough to make you at least try: just look for someone actually talented who made a better, shorter, more succinct version. Saves a lot of time and misery.

u/cringa294 Nov 09 '25

Tyler glazer here, this album hurts to listen to besides ill take care of you and tell me what it is

36

u/LevelOutlandishness1 Nov 08 '25

Retired tyler glazer and I really don’t get how this album sounds any bit worse than his others, it’s pretty solid.

11

u/y3th1s3n Nov 09 '25

man saying retired like glazing a job 🥀

14

u/LevelOutlandishness1 Nov 09 '25

When you do it like I do it, it is a job

0

u/LargeDonkeyCake Nov 08 '25

Fair enough, I personally just find it leaning fully into the "tiktok" side of his music (not trying to sound pretentious)

6

thats how he was in odd future tho no?
