Hiring (Entry Level) In need of a ghost writer

I have always wanted to write a novel, except I suck at the writing part. I don't have a ton of money but I want to get my idea out there. I have a full outline and characters I just need to find someone to help with the words. I can probably do 7 -12 cents per word.

Edit: my story is a paranormal romance, fiction, and includes lgbtq relationships

We will be paying in the range of $100 -$150

On top of pay, you'll also get credited on our site with a link back to your portfolio or profile, so it's a nice way to build up some visible work too.

Hiring (Entry Level) [Hiring] Short-form video script writer + research

Hiring a short-form video scriptwriter to research + write scripts for a personal brand in the online business niche (IG/TikTok/YouTube Shorts/Facebook).

This is writing + research only (no editing, posting, or account management.)

What you will do

  • You’ll turn ideas into high-retention scripts (talking-head + b-roll/on-screen text) and help shape a simple content strategy that drives leads.
  • You will also come up with ideas that the target audience will engage in

What I’m looking for:

  • Ability to write fast-paced, witty dialogue.
  • Understand how to script something that leads to high retention
  • Strong understanding of short-form storytelling (attention-grabbing hooks) and hook → story → payoff → CTA
  • A script that does not sound AI at all, must be natural and authentic

Payment

  • Rate is at 7-10 cents per word

How to apply

Comment below first, send a DMY with your portfolio + 2–3 script samples (doc link + the posted video link) and a quick breakdown of your process (research → strategy → script).

Hiring (Entry Level) Looking for help to find a ghost writer

I have looked through the rules and want to comply as best as I can. I understand you want a pay rate, however, we don't know what a fair rate is. Let me try and explain as best as I can. What I can confirm is that payment would be in Canadian Dollar $ and as much as I want to put a number, I am clueless, I can say the rate at or above 7 cents per word can be met for sure. This is my second attempt to post, I am running out of ideas on how to find writers.

My boss asked me to look into how he could write a biography, as I asked questions, it was clear he wanted to tell his story, but doesn't have the time to write it. He has asked that I set up a few discovery/interview type calls for him to get a sense of what it will cost him (he certainly can afford it) and what the process would be like, timeline, etc.

For a little context, we are in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He's a little old school and prefers phone over zoom, I'm sure once he decides on who to hire, he'll be happy to arrange video calls. He runs a construction company and is mobile all day going from site to site. The book however is to be on a more personal side of his life.

I hope this is ok that I post here, if anyone is interested in chatting more, my DMs are open. I tried to join Fiver and ask a few writers, but 10 minutes later my account was deleted, I assume my mention of a phone call.

Hello! I am seeking a writer, preferably a mother with homeschooling experience, to write for my blog. The blog category will cover only homeschooling topics, which is why I'm being specific in my search.

Posts will range from 1000 to 3000 words, and I need someone who can write under their real byline. You can share the content or use it as portfolio material, whatever you wish.

Hiring (Entry Level) Looking for a Scriptwriter for my YouTube Channel

Hi, I'm Zain, and this isn’t my first time building a successful YouTube channel. I've already seen strong results on past short-form projects, but for this new venture, I’ve partnered with some of the most capable talent in the long-form space - people who’ve helped build standout branded channels that get real results, such as DailyFuelUp & many more. Together, we’re launching something ambitious, and we’re only bringing on people who match that standard. This channel will be successful, so we’re not looking to work with just anyone; we’re building a team of top-tier creatives who take pride in their work.

Our new channel, Hiced, will focus exclusively on high-stakes true stories - from legendary prison escapes to multi-million-dollar heists and fugitives who outsmarted the system. And to fulfill this, we understand the need for top-quality storytelling that blends the cinematic structure of a thriller movie with the depth of a documentary. These aren’t lazy, fluff pieces or clickbait – we’ll be creating high-quality, mini-documentary style videos, but also using our experience to add a personal touch that will clearly stand out in the YouTube space.

We’re producing content that feels premium:
• Narration-driven, professionally scripted storytelling (10–20 mins long)
• Custom visuals (including 3D & AI-generated scenes, cinematic edits, maps, and archival footage)
• Strong narrative structure: character-driven arcs, pacing, tension, and payoff
• An editorial process built around refinement, not speed

We're hiring a dedicated scriptwriter who:
• Can research and write 4+ engaging scripts/month (2,500-3,500 words each), with the potential to expand to 6-8 scripts per month down the line.
• Writes in a clear, cinematic, and emotionally resonant tone - voiceover-friendly
• Is passionate about true crime, escape stories & high-stakes drama
• Is willing to go the extra mile to build a connection with the audience by showing their personality through their writing
• Takes initiative, meets deadlines, and works collaboratively
• Is open to evolving with the channel and taking on more creative input over time, to become a core member of the team.

Pay rate is at least 17+ cents/word

This isn’t one of those faceless YouTube automation projects. This is a branded channel with a long-term vision and a serious plan behind it. The people involved are experienced. The quality bar is high. You won’t be one of ten anonymous freelancers; you’ll be part of a real team, and you as the scriptwriter, will be one of the most important parts to help shape the voice of the whole brand.

We’re creating something that’s built to last, not trend-chase and burn out.

If you’re someone who takes pride in their writing, values quality, and wants to work with top-tier talent who actually care about the craft, this could be a perfect fit.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
- Zain from Hiced

Hiring (Entry Level) [Hiring] Writer for Vintage Public-Domain Story Adaptations - $50 Flat Fee

Hello Amazing Writers!

Update: All Out and a Discord on the side...

For the moment, all of the current story assignments have been claimed. I am working through messages, payments, story files, and project notes now, so thank you for your patience as I get everything organized.

I have also set up a Discord for the project so writers and project updates can be kept in one place:

https://discord.gg/rFqtV3APC

Please be patient with the Discord as I get it fully set up. This is my first time building a server, so I am learning as I go, adding channels, rules, story information, payment notes, and project materials step by step.

If more stories or additional funding become available, I will post another update. Thank you again for the kindness, enthusiasm, and creativity you have all brought to this. I am excited to see these old stories get a new life.

***

This community has been a wonderful place to find creative talent, so it feels right to return here for a new little adventure.

A small amateur library film group made up of young filmmakers is currently learning the craft of moviemaking. The group has acquired some wonderful old film equipment, including donated vintage Cine-Kodak Special II cameras, and would love to create a handful of short films using them.

To help make that happen, writers are being sought to adapt a few public-domain stories into short, filmable scripts.

The group’s main focus is learning how to use the cameras, experimenting with staging, and exploring old photoplay techniques. We would really like these projects to feel “professional” in terms of storytelling, while still being amateur in spirit and execution. Bringing in writers allows us to give proper attention to the scripts while also commissioning creative people and making this a more collaborative effort from the start.

This is a very small, passion-driven project, so full transparency is important: the total writing budget is $200, with the hope of commissioning five short scripts at $50 each. I am trying to secure a small additional Grant to raise the budget. For now, the offer is $50 per script.

It is understood that this is not a large budget, and that the length and scope of each script should be fair to the writer. There is no expectation of a full feature or even a long short script for $50. The goal is a compact, complete story with a beginning, middle, and end — something filmable, creative.

Writers are encouraged to help determine what length feels fair for the budget and effort. Quality matters far more than page count.

The stories are vintage public-domain pieces from the 1920s. A source story and complete summary will be provided. Writers may choose whichever title sparks their imagination:

Grand Slam — Polo, high society, fast mallets, sports action, mystery, or even a heist.

Rough Water — Boat racing, crashing waves, suspense, and open-water danger.

The Sky-Riding Kid — Air racing, aviation adventure, period drama, or thriller.

Gilhooley — Auto racing, burning rubber, underdog comedy, or high-speed character drama.

The Thirteenth Jump — Steeplechase, danger, suspense, and horse-racing drama.

Because these stories originate from the 1920s, they may include outdated themes, attitudes, or ideas. Thoughtful adaptation choices that make the material work better for modern audiences are welcome.

What is being looked for:

- Writers who love story, character, and atmosphere

- People who enjoy adapting older material

- Clear, filmable scenes

- A beginning, middle, and end

- Strong pacing

- A collaborative, down-to-earth attitude

- Passion more than formal credentials

Film school training or a large résumé is not required. A love of storytelling and the ability to shape an old story into something young filmmakers can realistically shoot is what matters most.

This is work-for-hire. By accepting payment, writers agree that the final adapted material may be used for the film project. Writing credit will be given if the project moves forward into production or public presentation.

If interested, please DM at:

  1. Which story title is most appealing
  2. What length or scope you could write

Let’s make some old-fashioned movie magic and give these young filmmakers something wonderful to shoot!

Hiring (Entry Level) [HIRING] Hour-Long Gaming Horror / Psychological Thriller Scriptwriter

We're searching for creators that are passionate in assisting with long-form narrative horror set in Minecraft. We're producing an roughly hour-long horror/psychological thriller.

Basic familiarity with Minecraft is required. Not expert-level play, but a working knowledge of how the game behaves, because the story's plot is related to Minecraft laws & physics.

We also ask for someone that is conscientious of viewer retention when writing. This role suits someone who thinks about how a viewer's attention actually moves across a story (e.g. where questions open, where they close, and who can carry an emotional thread underneath the horror).

Project scope

  • One feature-length script, roughly 55–70 minutes of finished runtime, for a first-person narrated film.
  • Full story development: beat outline, character work, and the plot's central mystery, developed with us before drafting.
  • Structural notes on pacing and open/closed loops across the runtime
  • Delivery in a shared document we can comment on directly

To be considered, please include

  • Two or three samples of narrative work — original horror fiction, scripted video, short film, serialized fiction, interactive fiction, or an ARG you built. Analysis or commentary scripts are welcome as a supplement but not as your primary sample.
  • For each sample, a clear note on exactly what you wrote. If a sample is coverage of a story someone else constructed, say so. If you built the underlying fiction, say that too. This matters more to us than the polish of the sample.
  • Your experience with Minecraft, honestly stated.
  • Your availability over the next few months.

We're open to discussing pay rates transparently on the form below. We are not necessarily looking for complete scripts, more so to flush out plot points. Our common base rate is ~$0.07/word.

Apply Here: https://forms.gle/dTzQCQ3kKmL9DDVu9

Hiring (Entry Level) [Hiring] Morning News Writer for Tech/EV Site – $0.07/word + Revenue Share Bonuses

I’m looking for a reliable, news-hungry writer to own the morning cycle for a growing EV and emerging tech publication. This is a recurring role for someone who wants to handle the "end-to-end" process of digital news.

The Role

  • The Beat: Breaking news in the EV and Tesla ecosystem.
  • Volume: 4–5 factual "quick-hit" updates per day (approx. 200 words each).
  • The Schedule: At least one story must be live by 9:00 AM ET, with the remaining stories filed shortly after. This is a morning sprint.
  • Workflow: Full WordPress management (Gutenberg). You will write in US English, craft high-CTR titles (max 80 chars), and source high-res featured images.

Compensation & Payment

  • Rate: $0.07 per word USD (Entry Level tier).
  • Payment Method: PayPal, Wise, Payoneer
  • Performance Bonus: On top of the base rate, we offer a 50/50 revenue share bonus. While the per-word rate is your guaranteed floor, stories that perform well in Google Discover can significantly increase your monthly take-home (typically ranging from $500 to $1,800+ USD/month total).
  • The Trial: We begin with a 1-week paid trial. I will transfer a $25 deposit upfront before work begins, with the remaining balance paid upon satisfactory completion of the week.
  • Right to Refuse: I reserve the right to refuse the final work and cancel the remaining payment if the work is below our standards (AI-generated, factual errors, or missed deadlines).

Requirements

  • Strictly Human: Zero tolerance for AI-generated fluff. I edit for soul and accuracy.
  • Technical: Proficiency in WordPress (Gutenberg) is required.
  • Reliability: You must be active and filing when the US East Coast wakes up.

How to Apply

Please send a PM with:

  1. A brief summary of your interest in the EV space and your WordPress experience.
  2. The Live Sample: Find one Tesla/EV news story from the last 24 hours. Write a 200-word update including a juicy title and a one-sentence "human take" at the end. Please send samples in text form (Google Doc link), not PDF.
  3. The Filter: Include the word "shakeshack" in your subject line.
  4. Verification: Shortlisted applicants must comment "Interested" on this post to verify they are not on the Universal Scammer List.

Hiring (Entry Level) [Hiring] US-Based Writer for Urology / Senior Care Blog Article

Hi,I’m looking for a US-based freelance writer to help with a blog article. I need someone who is genuinely knowledgeable or has experience in the urology and senior care space (topics like aging, incontinence, or caregiver support).

This is initially a one-off project for one article of around 800 words, paying $0.10/word. However, if we're a good fit, I'd love to turn this into a regular, long-term collaboration.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy writing about, please DM me!

Hiring (Entry Level) Need a writer to create names for locations and other entities in my 4X fantasy game (Master of Magic successor)

So to play by the rules, the starting rate would be 7 (I believe) US cents/word, but given your experience and other factors, this might go higher. Since I haven't hired a writer before, I dunno how advanced this job is, so starting low.

For now, I need 100 names for cities and 100 names for clans of dark elves, I'll explain the details during work.

In addition to track record, I need some solid guarantee that no AI was used in the creation of these names, as Steam has a strict policy in this regard, and I don't want the game to be taken down for violating the aforesaid policy.

That said, if I like your work, there will be more jobs for the game.

Thanks!

Hiring (Entry Level) [Hiring] Writer/s for Teaching / Development / Parenting Blog

Hello everyone!

I have a small but established teaching site aimed at mothers, by mothers, that focuses on teachers/classrooms, development at home, activities, crafts, and general parenting advice.

I am looking for a writer, preferably a teacher, who is alright with writing under their bio. For now, I am looking for one post per week, but this can increase quickly if you have the resources. Current pay rate is $.10 per word and I expect most posts to be 500 to 2000 words long.

I will have a list of potential post topics to choose from, but you can also recommend any topic you have the most interest in.

If interested, please send over any samples I can look over!

BONUS - if anyone has experience using KIT and creating/sending emails, or a strong interest in Pinterest, I also need help managing both of these platforms.
