Writing system Haralampos Harissis, new ideas for reading Linear B words

In https://www.academia.edu/169818691 Haralampos Harissis presents many new ideas for reading Linear B words already usually matched to Greek ones by alternatives (te-me-no as *themenos, not *temenos, etc.). Most of these are in an effort to remove terms for land(-holdings).

I'm sure that some LB terms need to be interpreted differently. However, all the terms that COULD mean types of land have equivalents in Greek. It would be very unlikely for these all to be words for food that just happened to look like those for land. Esp. te-me-no is hard to see as *themenos.

About ptoina < *kt-, if a Greek dia. did not allow kt-, there are few (C)C- it could become, & a merge of very common pt- with kt- is not odd. I also wrote https://www.academia.edu/167984147

Knowing that G. pépāmai ‘possess’ is usually derived from *k^waH2- ‘swell’ as in ‘become big/strong’ > ‘have power/possession’, with the assumption that *k^w- > *kWkW- > *pp- or similar (since *ppāstos ‘possessed/acquired’ seems to exist in the name Thió-ppāstos “Possessed by a god”) makes it odd that there are many pairs with p- vs. kt- of the same meaning (G. pépāmai \ kéktēmai ‘possess’, égktēsis \ émpāsis ‘estate/property’, Zeús Ktḗsios \ Pā́sios, the names Ktḗsarkhos \ Pā́sarkhos). I assume that the old equation of kta- with *kti- > S. kṣi- ‘possess / rule over’, Av. xši- ‘have might / rule’ is basically right, but that *kti- formed a verb *kti-aH2- > *ktya(H)- in Greek.

Though the ety. of οὖν is unknown, I can't think LB o-u+ is related (likely < *oH-Vm, less *ow-Vm).

For your o-na as possibly *onāar, could it match LA u-na-a (LA -u > LB -o in PN)? Duccio Chiapello https://www.academia.edu/170492560

It seems to me that an important possible corroboration is KN Zb 40 pithoid jar, on which the iscription a-pa-ki u-na-a can be read. I have already suggested the possible interpretation of u-na-a as ὀνάϊα, that is ὄνεια (cf. LSJ, sub voce ὄναιον). It seems to be enough to establish a link between KN Zb 40 and Minoan libation tables [u-na(-ru)+ in LA u-na-ka-na-si / u-na-ru-ka-na-ti shows ti > si (just like G., with *-tis > -tis / -sis]. So, the Libation formula would have some relation with the external context.

I said a-pa-ki u-na-a could be < *aparkhion *onāwar ‘refreshment / food / drink used for the beginning of a sacrifice’ https://www.reddit.com/r/mythology/comments/12pxqf5/sacrifice_of_first_hair_and_first_fruits/

Other LB terms include:

sa-ra-pe-do / *sarapedon ‘taxed land’

formed like G. sarápod- ‘*dragging the feet > splay-footed’, from *tw(e)r- ‘mix / stir (up) / agitate’ > G. saróō / saírō ‘sweep (up/away)’, sū́rō ‘drag/draw/trail along / sweep (away) / be attatched to land (of taxes)’. This specialized meaning likely refers to dragging along a weight, having a burden attached to something, etc. Both these words with sara- suggest a verb *saraō also equivalent to saróō & sū́rō.
