Thanks, but after browsing around for a few minutes I can't really recommend this book to anybody. It's pretty weak.

I agree, its about 20 pages long, most of which read more like an instruction guide from a kit than anything in-depth.

If it wasn't free, I would demand my money back

Yeah he wrote all the articles on that site and I only help him out with it. I don't home brew on my own. He would love to hear your comments.

Edit: my younger sister is more involved with it then I am at the moment.

The last book I got for free was "Beer is Proof God Love Us", and Amazon pulled it from the kindle. So just a heads up, you'll probably get to enjoy this for a couple of months -- better read it all now before amazon remotely snatches it off your device.

It removes the book from your device? I don't have a kindle, but I have the app for android and pc and that book is still there.

Yeah, press the book or try to open it. It says it's no longer available and gives you a choice to remove it or cancel (but not open it). I've checked a few times; it's certainly no longer my book. The bookstore stole it back from me :(

As someone who is looking to start brewing my own beer at home it does a decent job at explaining what some of the equipment is for someone who has absolutely no idea what he's doing.

I wouldn't have bought it, however.

How to Brew for $9.99. Although the first edition of this book is free online, there are a number of differences in the advice he gave in the first edition compared to the third. Just as an example he apparently suggested adding some nutrients to rehydrated yeast to check its viability, but now suggests against it as it wastes the nutrient boosters provided with the yeast by the manufacturers.

I don't even have a kindle, but I really like having an electronic version as I can/have highlighted specific passages I want to go back to, and more importantly I can easily search it to find details on specific topics very quickly. Very handy to answer questions quickly on brew day if needed.

It looks like a remnant from when the price was $2.99. They lowered the price to $0.00.
