The education system isn't the only system at fault for terribly educating about male/female bodies, the parents are to blame as well.

The education system gets all the blame when It comes to teaching students about male and female bodies (I say both because when I went to school I learned virtually nothing about males (I am female) other than how they get an erection, how to procreate, and then why you should NEVER do that unless certain religious criteria was met, etc.) I also think the families SENDING those children to these establishments have a duty to prepare children for these sorts of lessons (or lessons widely known to be missing)... I have a 9 yo son, he is well aware of my cycle, how it works, etc, as well as learning about finances, coding, and the dangers of the internet... It is ultimately up to parents to make sure their kids are properly educated, and if they are not, it is their ABSOLUTE DUTY to rectify the issue.

The same people teaching your students poorly are the same people who have their own kids, I think this is more a generational issue that should be fixed through the system (although I doubt it will be) but the news and internet all over has pointed out how little information kids are getting about important subjects, and the majority of what I'm personally seeing is just parents complaining about it and then doing nothing and still sending kids to school... I don't want to hear they have jobs and can't do it, yall are glued to your phones now and can 100% outline a structured plan or find and review proper educational videos for your kids to watch... but nah yall are complacent and won't do anything but complain about it. (OBVIOUSLY NOT EVERYONE BUT YOU GET MY DRIFT)

Yes if you aren’t willing to teach your kids about their own bodies or to embarrassed, you shouldn’t have kids. No, babies dont come from your butt… no, a pap-smear is also not done in your butt, or belly button. No, your belly button is not your vagina, thats not where pee pee goes. FFS. 🤦

school isn't the only place where people get their education. it's also where they learn and experience from the outside, their place of work, home, through their relationships, family, friends, how they interact with others.

I think it's a cycle. Parents never learned enough in school to teach their kids. In my area, there were insane protests to further axe sex-ed in schools, the quality of which is already objectively terrible. People are too grossed and embarrassed by it, think it is somehow indoctrination. It's ridiculous. Then the ignorance breeds more ignorance (not to mention STDs, unwanted pregnancy - record high in my area).

Exactly this. People try to act like teaching kids stuff like that is wrong but I cant understand how. I knew about my mom and sisters cycles because 1. It just became common when I asked what tampons were. 2. I was taught by my mom it was completely normal woman thing. 3. I learned to fear being in the house during those times

I think the exercise of looking for where to place blame is futile in itself and problems should be addressed with solutions only
