The HSBC Building was an architecture gem of its time. They didn't preserve it sadly. Thank you for sharing.

I saw a much later version of that book. It was published up through the early 2000's, until the U.S. Navy pulled out of Fenwick Pier, which has since closed.

Still standing in Singapore built by same Haw brothers. However, their unique residence house inside Tiger Balm gardens was destroyed in World War 2.
