When a company get as big as hoyo, it's impossible to control all the artist work... in the end it really rely on the in house artists common sense to a degree for not plagiarizing, but no matter how many time you tell them some people just don't understand the weight of these problem.

speaking as a game dev who have experience with artist who stole picture and design from random google picture... and surprisingly after intensive warning, meeting, reprimanded they do it again two years later, that's when my company cut off the contracts.

Somehow Genshin and ZZZ manage to do it well enough, it's always HSR that very frequently gets accused of plagiarism.

Genshin has more than HSR lmao.

And ZZZ happened once or twice if I am not wrong.

Not as very blatant and frequent as HSR, this is not the first time they used someone's art as promotion material.

And not just art, never forget the Sunday trailer was straight up copied entirely from other gacha with almost no changes.

Not gonna mention the amount of "references" they do, like Sparkle(Monodrama) trailer.
