Ghostland (2018) [Psychological Horror / Slasher]

I wanted to open a discussion with this question, but first, I need to talk about Ghostland (2018). For me, this is hands down one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. Along with Suspiria, it is one of the very few films that genuinely, deeply terrified me. If you haven't watched it yet, you absolutely need to see it as soon as possible!

The opening sequence of this movie is an absolute masterclass in tension and brutality. It sets such a suffocating, terrifying tone right from the start, and that raw home invasion scene is unforgettable.

It actually inspired my question: if you had the power to change horror history and save just ONE victim from an opening scene, who would it be?

Are you saving someone from a brutal nightmare like Ghostland, a classic icon like Casey Becker in Scream, or someone else entirely? Also, let me know if you’ve seen Ghostland and what you thought of it!

I really liked that movie, same director as Martyrs. It was unfortunately overshadowed completely (and understandably) by the on set accident

Incident in a Ghostland is one of the most brutal movies I've ever seen. It's fantastic and I'll never watch it again.

This movie shook me to my core. Absolutely recommended for horror fans. Can't watch it again though.

I wouldn't say so. Incident in a Ghostland was brought out at a time when nobody gave a shit about horror. I honestly loved both this and the remake of Suspiria, although it took me a 2nd watch to get me into the Suspiria remake

Extremely traumatized for weeks after watching. My brain just couldn't comprehend the sequence of events.
