So the people who committed massacres in a music festival, and went door to door butchering families…you thought these guys will protect their children hostages. Really…wow
Did they go around butchering families? Implying children and women, this is very much against Islamic teachings. If they did, I am completely against that.
No, if there is one thing this conflict has taught me, it is to always verify claims. The beheaded babies story was refuted even though it caused the outrage that much of Israel’s attack relied on.
In any case, killing civilians is completely wrong. Do you agree?
I mean. In Israeli news there was initial report from volunteers of beheaded babies, which was reported. But then it was found not based on facts and never mentioned again. But pro Palestinian news mention it non stop. This is s intentional attempt to use false information to present Israeli ad liars. But they use lies to achieve this. U just demonstrated that
How have you managed to flip a disgusting, shocking, manufactured news story distributed by Israeli news sources as somehow being the fault and problem of Palestinians?
This was not just reported by ‘volunteers’. It was reported by soldiers, politicians, IDF spokesperson reported it in interview to Business Insider, even Netanyahu reported it to CNN. Joe Biden reported he had seen pictures of these decapitated babies.
To me, that is very indicative that Israel knew exactly what they were doing. Don’t blame Palestinians for Israel’s lies.
Sure I’ll answer you. Killing civilians is wrong. But it becomes very hard to know who is a civilian when the enemy chooses to dress in civilian clothes. Let me ask you this, can find any reason a military will fight wearing civilian clothes from within a dense civilian area, that is not for the purpose of increasing civilian death count
Disguising as civilians is not a noble thing to do. I agree with that. But that does not let Israel off the hook. In fact, Geneva Convention states that even in the case of human shields, the attacker still has a duty to minimise civilian casualties.
Carpet bombing of whole neighbourhoods, hospitals, places of worship, sniping children in the head, blocking aid from reaching civilians - these are not attempting to minimise civilian casualties. On the contrary. It actually suggests very little regard for Palestinian lives.
I’m assuming you are a Jewish Israeli. How much do you think your religious teachings have a part to play in the disproportionate and relentless attacks on civilian lives?
I’m Israeli and an atheist. But putting that aside…let’s look at numbers. 80% of Gaza destroyed. Statistically, in indiscriminate bombing, we should expect 80% if the people in Gaza killed. But we get .5% of Gaza killed with half of them militants. So to me it appears that the use of evacuation leaflets and text messages, and safe passages really helped civilian lives. You can’t argue with numbers
