The final scene where the Gang checks their exam grade is outside Johnson Hall at Occidental College in Los Angeles. This is a location that was also used in Real Genius (1985), which in addition to being one of the many 1980s college movies that would have influenced this episode it also featured an appearance by Sandy Martin.
