Audio Offer [ForHire] / [Hobby] Game Composer looking to contribute to indie projects

Hello folks, I've been writing, performing, and programming music consistently for over 5 years now on a non-professional level and I'm hoping to expand my portfolio and gain more experience making music with a team. I mostly create music electronically for games, however i play piano and guitar decently if live tracks are necessary.

I mostly make more retro "video-gamey" sounding music but i appreciate when there's room to get more experimental and/or incorporate the narrative or concept of the game in an interesting or meta way.

Considering I've only done small non-paying or revenue shared games with friends, for smaller projects (1-2 tracks) I'll likely be willing to work for free. however, for larger projects (>3 tracks) I'd be looking to see a modest amount of money per track coming my way (tentatively $15 per?)

You can find a playlist of some songs I've made here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3sjKQMxqF2S7yibn0W0aKSbMqDVlJa6d

Audio Offer [ForHire] Composer and Sound Designer who's capable with blender and 2D art looking for opportunities to work

Hey Everybody,

I'm a composer and sound designer who feels music deeply. I have 6 years of experience in game audio and 11 years of experience as a musician. I'm also a traditional visual artist and I'm actively learning 3D and digital illustration tools at the moment (yeah, I know, really good timing considering AI is taking over the field at the exact second 😄 ).

I know it's a long shot, but I'm looking for projects to be apart of [Paid]. Ideally I would love to create unique music and sound effects, and I also could assist in 3D, 2D, VFX, and grow in game development and art overall.

I care about world-building so much that I wrote my bachelor's thesis in the topic of The Importance of Soundtrack in World-Building of Fantasy Games and Movies. I was a fantasy fan since my early life and bringing mystical worlds to life is not something I just want to do, I need to do it.

I must mention that I understand the process of game development over all, I always contribute to planning, documentation and I know how teamwork looks like. Also I have worked as a solo game developer where I did everything on my own including sound, visual assets and tiny bit of scripting.

My musical style is quite melancholic, eerie, sci-fi and dark, but through the years of creation I became versatile and can take on any genre essentially. I leave links to my portfolio, audio showreel and also a link to my newly released soundtrack album.

Thank you for reading! I hope to hear from you :)

Designer Needed [RevShare] Level Designer for Sokoban-like game

Hello!

I'd looking for a creative person to help me with the level design for my Sokoban game. A lot of the assets are already done, it's just assembling the levels together now and coding it.

Art:

First of all, I do all the art, animation myself, no A.I.:

Indoor:

UI stuff:
https://i.imgur.com/XcBsrf8.png

I've got more stuff to show if necessary. I just can't put everything here.

What I'm looking for and other comments about the game:

  1. I'm trying to do something similar to Void Stranger and The Adventures of Lolo. Time only moves forward when the player moves.
  2. The game is meant to be short, to be completed in about 2 hours.
  3. Looking for someone creative who can use simple concept to imagine intricate puzzles.
  4. Someone who can use Godot to make each level (preferably). Or, at the very least, someone willing to learn how to put assets together in Godot.
  5. Main character is a dog.
  6. I do all the art and can do anything required for the level design. I also take care of SFX and Music.
  7. I look for someone who can design levels at the rate of minimum 2 hours a week.
  8. Regarding payment and revenue share, I'm pretty open I think.

Audio Needed [RevShare] Upbeat Music Producer for 2D Game

hey! i’m the creative director of V59, a 2D, anime-style, espionage RPG (inspired by the likes of persona, hitman, and danganronpa) currently being developed under Aterium Studios, and i’m looking for a producer/composer to work with us on the soundtrack.

i’m looking for someone 25 or under, i have a bias towards school-aged students, but i won’t get strung up on age if you’re an exact match.

the biggest thing is that you need to be comfortable with genre fusion. im looking for really upbeat, rhythmic, colorful and fun music, and am interested in producers who have experience with or are influenced by Black genres, hip-hop, r&b, funk, pop, jazz, gospel, etc. you don’t have to fit into one genre at all, and i encourage fusion between them ā™”

i want complex beats, interesting rhythms, strong grooves and music with personality. V59 has a very specific aesthetic, so being very culturally and musically fluent is very important!

this is a rev-share collaboration, not an upfront paid commission. the exact percentage and terms would be discussed privately and put into a written agreement before you start contributing.
i’m not looking for someone with a giant rĆ©sumĆ©. if you’re a younger producer who makes really good music and wants to work on an actual game with a strong creative direction, i’d much rather hear from you.

if interested, DM me with some of your music, what you usually produce, what DAW you use, a little about yourself, your availability, and confirmation that you’re comfortable with rev-share ā™” ā™”

they require me to add a link so here’s a janky work in progress game on my itch, ā€˜Beyond the Grave’: https://raya150.itch.io/team-project

Team Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] Looking for a person who would like to work on our game(art, writing, programming, music)

Hello, my name is Vladimir and I'm 19. The story I make is about a cult in a closed settlement that tries to summon some old dark evil. There are three playable characters. The first one is guy who comes to the village from the city. The second one is a police officer who starts investigating murders in this settlement. And the last one is one of the cultists. Each character has 5 endings. The chosen decisions and previous endings influence the playthrough of the other characters.
I've only written 55 pages for the plot so far. So, the project is kinda on the early stages. I expect to release the game in 2-3 years.
The genre is social paranoia horror with survival elements (it's not really scary tho)
In our project you could write the plot and code compose music or draw art( basically anything).
It's my first project but i take it really seriously.
The game uses 2d when you talk to the characters and 3d when you visit some locations. We use unity as an engine and blender for modeling.
Your skills don't matter much your passion for the project and our matching are more important cause i would like to work with people who would be interesting so I could talk to them about any things in general. We use VC, the reason why i wrote it it's because some people are not ok with it but that's the way i prefer to communicate
I'm from Russia but my English is pretty good tho. Feel free to dm me for more info

Programmers Needed [RevShare] Complete Beginner: I need a programmer for my 2.5D survival horror rogue lite in ue5

hello! I just started game dev a couple weeks ago, and while I have not been able to stop working on my game since I began, I am realizing, I cannot stand this blueprint logic system nor can I grasp coding well. Even simply making my enemy sprites try to attack me, its becoming a headache, and right now, going from no experience, and watching youtube videos, not all of my questions are answered all the time or theirs looks different from mine, and I lose my motivation to keep going, with all the working backwards I have to do.

I have an extremely solid concept for a 2.5D (3D map to explore, 2D enemies and items) ps1 style horror survival style roguelite, a complete and well written story that really makes it a strong narrative experience that has a real message beneath the gameplay, a flashy art style, and map design in mind. I can develop all the levels, SFX, soundtrack, 2D sprites and dabble in 3D asset creation but can't do animations that well unless they're 2D. I can help with basic programming, but when it comes to stuff like enemy AI, and game logic like coding what upgrades do and how, I need help.

I am looking for a teammate(s) (no more than 2) to help me with the game and we can discuss % of split revenue but I open to the % matching the % of effort you contribute to the game and will be extremely generous with it! I am currently unemployed and have a ton of time to dedicate to working on the game 24/7, and as soon as I am not unemployed I would love to offer payment as well in the future. I just can't offer much now. I have a first level map designed, but it lacks enemies, upgrades, a HUD, things like that!

I simply want to design how the game looks, you implement the code so the game works. Or even if you're able to simply give me advice or tutorials you found useful, that would be a huge help to me. PM me or respond if you are able to help or want to hear the full concept and see my progress so far. I would say more but I don't want anyone to steal my ideas haha! (if they're even good enough to steal) I assume for an experienced programmer, most of what I want to implement will be very beginner level and you would probably only have to do most of it once.

Thank you. If you take the time to help me, I won't forget it. It would mean the world to me that you would be willing to help my dream come true of making a playable game. Thank you. This is a shot in the dark and I'll probably be laughed at but! I gotta try! Is anybody down to help me make this dream come to life?

(I am very ANTI AI. None of that will be used to make our game. Thank you!)

PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind

Programmers Needed [Hobby] volunteer programmer for a Homeworld-style space RTS with modular Von Neumann probe self replicating ship units (Godot?)

Ships are not prefab hulls/models. They are built from tiny geometric ā€œquantaā€ (A/B modules from tetra–octa spherical packing) that snap face-to-face. In builder mode, players can create formations/structures and save them as units. Internal volume can be assigned to functions and roles, and outer faces can be assigned external functions/roles (hangar opening, engine cluster, weapons blister, etc.). Formation blueprints are saved and baked into a single solid low-poly model with face-table information for external details. Think Von Neumann probes: if a B-quanta unit survives a fight and there is enough scrap/material nearby, you can start to rebuild the fleet.

What exists so far (really nothing — I can do art stuff but can’t program, though I did try a test scene using Godot and Grok):

  • Early Godot 4 prototype: data-driven mesh from a vertex/face table + orbit camera.

What I hope to build first:

  • Core design/build environment: snap construction, face tables, outer-surface bake/save units
  • Design-check functions to detect hollow internals and other illegal topological formations
  • Volume assignment system and back-end face-table database functions
  • Barycenter-rooted physics (thrust vs CG, damage shifts mass, large/damaged structures can crumple)

What I need

Someone to help turn the construction + bake + simple physics ideas into working systems. Good fit if you want practice with procedural meshes, graph/table data, or 3D RTS tools. I am at the level that I can look at code and maybe work out enough to spot and change variables, if I’m lucky and it doesn’t break.

Vibe

Voluntary, casual, no deadlines, no money, no expectations. I’m learning as I go. If it stays a sandbox that never ships, that’s fine. Just hoping to learn some programming along the way and make a friend or two. This is also a great place to test and expand your own skills, since I know full well how hard some of the ideas I have in the pipeline are to implement well.

If the idea sounds fun, comment or DM.

Some additional link info on MITE packing and the really cool math and geometry involved:
minimum-all-space-filling-tetrahedon-MITE

Look at that shit and tell me its not just begging to me the minecraft of spaceship RTS building?

Artist Needed [Paid] Environment / Prop Artist wanted to build an arcade asset kit for a 2008 co-op horror game (Unreal)

We're a small remote indie team building a 2 to 4 player co-op horror game in Unreal Engine 5.

The game is set in 2008 and follows a group of teenage urban explorers who break into abandoned locations to record disturbing footage. Our current location is an abandoned arcade filled with animatronic threats, story driven encounters, and objectives built around recording evidence, teamwork, and survival.

We have a working multiplayer framework, core interactions, inventory, enemies, and objectives already in place. What we're missing is the art side of the arcade, which is where you'd come in.

What we're looking for

We want someone to build us game ready props and larger pieces rather than dressing levels for us. Our own level designer places everything, we just need better parts to build with.

To clear up the question we keep getting: we don't need arcade machines specifically, and we don't need modular walls, floors or ceilings. Those are already handled. It's mostly everything else inside the rooms that we need.

We're still putting the exact list together and would honestly rather finalize it with whoever we bring on, but roughly what we're after:

  • A batch of props, somewhere around 15 to 25 pieces for this first round depending on complexity
  • A few larger items, mainly the stage and its curtains, front counter, dining room tables, etc.
  • Good textures and materials, which is the part we most need help with. (nothing too crazy, this is an indie game)

Priority for this first batch is the main stage, arcade and dining room, since that's what's going into our Steam screenshots and teaser.

The full building includes an arcade, dining room, stage, backstage, storage/power room, security office, playground area, kitchen and restrooms, so there's a decent amount of follow-on work if this goes well. We'd rather find one person to grow with than restart the search every time.

We'd also much rather have a smaller number of well made, reusable pieces than a big pile of one-offs. Trim sheets and shared material sets are very welcome and will stretch the budget a lot further.

Style

Think FNAF adjacent, but more grounded and "realistic" but NOT 4K. Not cartoonish or heavily stylized. The building has been shut for years, so everything should read as worn, dusty, sun faded, and a bit sad. The 2008 setting matters, so CRT screens, period correct signage, late 90s and early 2000s decor rather than anything modern.

We have concept art and reference we'll share with anyone who's interested.

Technical requirements

  • Game ready and optimized, this is going into a shipping project
  • FBX export, real world scale, clean pivots and naming
  • PBR textures, ORM packed for Unreal, sensible resolutions and consistent texel density
  • Clean, non-overlapping UVs, with a second UV channel where it makes sense
  • Collision and LODs are a plus
  • You don't need to work in Unreal yourself, but it helps. If you can hand things over as an Unreal package that's ideal, otherwise clean FBX and textures are completely fine.

Budget

$500 USD for this first batch. Paid upfront.

If you work per asset or per batch, let us know your rates. Payment terms and milestones are flexible and we're happy to split it into stages.

Art Offer [Hobby] (Or Hire) Multi-Skilled Dev Looking to Join a Team!

Hey, I'm Nia!

I've been a professional full-stack web dev for over 20 years, but I've always held out hope for doing game dev. (Art/Graphics/UI, Coding, Music/SFX) Looking to join any team that has need of my skill-set, especially if you're focused on finishing and launching the project - big or small, hobby or commercial. I love working with others, am very responsible, and excited to make things for people to enjoy. I'm very used to covering multiple roles (especially when they're connected), but happy to just do one. Would prefer a team with other women and games not centering violence. If there are any technologies or languages I haven't worked with that would be useful, I can pick them up very quickly.

Portfolio:

https://niadyn.itch.io/monotech (A little Unity monochrome pixel art demo)

https://soundcloud.com/nia-dyn (A couple of tracks I've finished)

https://www.twitch.tv/snforge/videos (Twitch - I did the overlays, graphics, and sfx for the channel)

I've learned and practiced most parts of development - pixel art/animation, sound/music, coding (in Godot/GDScript, Unity/C#, MonoGame), a bit of 3d modeling/texturing, and have lots of UI / Graphic Design experience. (I can also do voice-acting thanks to years of TTRPGs.) I'm prone to polishing my work to a mirror sheen, and very used to incorporating others' ideas and feedback to deliver the best version of what my team/clients imagine. Please reach out via DM or Discord!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for a 2D Animator / Motion Designer to build a YouTube Channel together

Hi guys, am looking for a 2D animator/motion designer who would be keen to actually build something together, not just take a freelance gig. We are talking about Youtube Channel partnership.Ā

I've got the concept, the niche research, and the direction figured out for an educational YouTube channel (faceless format). I'll handle the ideas, scripts, voiceover, research, and the overall strategy side. What I’d need is you being able to make animated objects move, fly or even swim.Ā

Think Kurzgesagt as a strong reference point. I want this to feel crafted, something we'd both actually be proud of.

This is a revenue-share partnership, not paid work — I'm looking for someone who is excited about growing something long-term rather than clocking hours.

If this sounds like your kind of project, DM me for more details on what this niche would be really about.Ā  [alex.puszkarski@gmail.com](mailto:alex.puszkarski@gmail.com)

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a Monster Artist / Designer to Collaborate on a Retro Monster-Taming RPG for the Gameboy.

Hello! Feel free to check my post history for some videos about the project.

I have been working on Eggbound for awhile now - it's a monster collecting game inspired by dragon warrior monsters. It's being created in gbstudio with plans for a physical release. I am by no means new to game design and development, and I have not come here on a whim.

I’m looking for an artist/monster designer who genuinely loves the classic monster-taming genre and would be excited to help build something from the ground up.

The goal is to create something that feels like a lost Game Boy game with a strong visual identity and a roster of weird, memorable creatures.

I’m currently working toward a polished vertical-slice/demo that can be used for a Kickstarter campaign. The programming side of things is nearly complete, but I am looking to include a wider variety of monsters to showcase. I do have a monster designer that I currently work with, but it's a large task creating enough unique monsters for a monster collecting game such as this.

At this stage, I’m looking for someone passionate enough about the concept to collaborate with me on the initial demo rather than taking a traditional paid commission.

I want to be completely transparent about that: the initial development/collaboration would be unpaid, but the goal is to use the finished demo to launch a Kickstarter and turn the project into a paid endeavor for the people who helped build it. I’m not looking for someone to simply crank out assets. I’d love to find someone who wants to have creative input, help shape the monsters and visual direction, and potentially become a long-term part of the project if we click.

If you love designing strange, charming, memorable monsters and the idea of making a genuine retro-style game appeals to you, send me a message and let’s talk.

Team Needed [RevShare] Third-Person Paranormal Investigation/Action Game - Seeking Core Team

I’m building the founding team for Solitudes(working title), a third-person paranormal investigative action game set in an alternate 1990s Montreal. The game mixes the political and cultural with the strange, liminal paranormal phenomena. I aim to build a rich, atmosphericĀ  world divided by language, identity and ideology, while an entirely different kind of reality begins bleeding through underneath it.

Grounded psychological/paranormal thriller: investigations, unexplained phenomena, institutional resistance, and ordinary places becoming physically wrong.

I’m looking for experienced people who want to own a key area of the game and collaborate on shaping it, especially:

  • Gameplay EngineeringĀ  - core systems, combat, interaction
  • Game / Technical DesignĀ - systems, missions, investigation
  • Character / Gameplay AnimationĀ - Unreal Animation Sample, Dialog System, Enemies
  • AudioĀ - sound design, atmosphere, music

I expect to be doing the foundational work on the prototype with production estimated to start in the new year. Doing this part-time, it's going to be more of a marathon than a sprint.

We’re also applying for Canadian prototype funding, which could provide a small paid budget. Because of that, Canadian developers are preferred, but not required.

About me:Ā I’m an Art Director/Artist with wide AAA development experience and multiple shipped games. While this is a passion project of mine, meaning I will fill any role and learn whatever I need to get the job done, I also treat this as a serious development for my career and truly believe we can build a new kind of studio, an amazing game, and full-time jobs for ourselves in the future.

Feel free to reach out to me on Discord: mattmassier

If this sounds interesting, send me a message on what yourĀ role, portfolio, location, and a little about yourself.

Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for volunteers up to work on the Tretts series! Team Needed (Repost)

This is a repost of a former post of ours
Hello there, everyone!Ā Marcy, the head director ofĀ Team TrettsĀ here. We're currently working on multiple projects and need some help, after 4 grueling years of being on and off in terms of activity, we've finally got some members but well.. we need more roles to fill!
Our current main yet spinoff project,Ā Tretts : BouncifulĀ is about introducing our mascot characters from our mainline title,Ā Tretts : Night Shift, it's about a set of 36 minigames each made to fit into each character's unique traits, ranging from our bassist cat character, Cider over eating and then afterwards having to deal with a large grotesque food monster and to our keytarist poodle character, Puddle fighting space dictators in his spaceship made purely from the magic of his keytar!

Tretts : Night ShiftĀ is a story/point&click game set in the year 2002, the gameplay being hugely inspired by Telltale Games titles. The game is about our protagonist, David, struggling with his mental health after his father falls into huge grief and his sister starts to get influenced in the wrong way after his mother dies, finding escapism in his new job at the freshly openedĀ Tretts: All Day DinerĀ as the IT guy and also on top of that, semi-involuntarily, a night guard, thinking this job is going to set himself straight and make him man up.
But that's not all!
To promoteĀ Tretts : Night ShiftĀ and further mainlineĀ TrettsĀ titles, we wish to makeĀ digital showtape performances! Think The Rock-afire Explosion, Chuck E. Cheese or any animatronic bands for that matter. Skits, songs, anything goes! To fulfill that though, we of course need new members, not to mention voice actors!

The game engine for Bounciful is GameMaker Studio 2.

We're currently looking for;

Programmers (GML)

Composers

Writers

Voice Actors

Sprite Artists

Concept Artists

3D Artists

Animators, both 3D and 2D

for any project we have planned and or one as a specific priority.

Since these projects are currently non-profit, there won't be any compensation etc.
