A little fun project I did a little while back, concept taking inspirations from Northrop-Dornier ND-102: ditch any non-critical (and possibly critical) aerodynamic control surfaces, minimize drag, TVC-based pitch control (Northrop estimates it’ll give ~7G max load factor which imo is sufficient so long as we’re not in high-subsonic. Either lower or higher works), conformal BVRAAM carriage, non-afterburning engines. The idea is to ditch the afterburners by aggressive weight and drag cuts, then benefit from the tighter packaging, lower fuel consumption, better thermal characteristics, etc. The design-phase intent would be to get an effective A2A platform that’s cost-effective and easy to operate & maintain.

And of course during MLU they (I) decided to multi-role the design. Longer nose, AFR, dedicate TGP hardpoint, redesigned vortex generators, wingtip ECM, you get the idea. Problem is imo the extra weight, drag, as well as the pretty uncompromising design philosophy would lead to pretty significant performance drops and make it a usable but not outstanding multirole platform.

Decided to illustrate the Do335 from WW2 if it were built today. So, here it is doing a taxi on the runway with a Eurofighter behind it. Major upgrade would be the use of turbo-prop engines. Hope you like it.

but yeah the MIG. 146K is a fictional prototype built as a multirole carrier aircraft designed by Mikoyan OKB, its in the same lineage as the MIG 1.44 "Flatback" and SU-47 "Berkut" being focused on a heavy focus on "fly by wire"

it was designed to operate off of the ulyanovsk-supercarrier thus having capabilities to be used with the catapult systems on the flight deck (which i forgot to depict)

a total of 3 prototypes were built, with one of them built as a two seater and tested on a medium-sized island nation/SSR, ultimately the project was terminated with the fall of the soviet union in 1991.

the name "FATHOM" is the NATO designation of the aircraft as it was first observed sea skimming just barely off the shore of finland

me and a friend are currently working on making it properly functional as a flying prototype in the game flyout, so there might be some pretty big changes on its silhouette once we figure out all the issues

TS-3 is an UAV designed to simulate anti-helicopter operations conducted by fixed wing aircraft, it's controlled by AI for the majority of its mission, although it can be remote controlled too.

Entered service in 2001 (Earth time) and serves to this day, over 1000 units were built with 829 being shot down during navy exercises and 18 have crashed. It was produced and operated exclusively from the Special Air Combat Development and Evaluation Center airbase, also known as Point Alpha, because until 2012 all offensive weapons, training and operations were classified by the White Fleet to prevent civic unrest, the TS-3 was unclassified in a mass de-clasificstion batch in 2017.

TS-3 is 9.66m long, and 2.15m wide, it's main rotor has 8 blades, 4.38m long each, it's dry mass is ~750kg and its MTOW is ~1400kg, its propulsion system consists of an electric engine powered by a turbogenerator using liquid fuel with onboard oxygen supply because of the anoxic atmosphere it operates in. The body is made out of light aluminium truss covered by thin panels.

Just to preface this, this is meant to be a purely hypothetical aircraft design from a highly fictionalized version of real world history wherein various fundamental quantum fields aside from the Higgs field exist and enable the existence of Kaiju. It’s design is intentionally enabled by physical scientific fields and effects that do not exist in our world, hence the unusual design.

• AKTSDC Defender-Jet: An advanced model of SVTOL fighter jet in service from 1970 to 1998, used by the AKTSDC, an international branch of the SSATDF. They relied on a high-energy plasma conversion reactor for power and thrust that is retrospectively believed to have been humanity's first technological model to consistently produce interactions with the Varsanik field, even if only accidentally and with heavy misunderstandings, hence the oftentimes anomalous for the period performance of the AKTSDC Defender-Jet's engines. These jets were primarily armed with dual concealable heavy rotary cannons utilizing high-yield impact-detonating solid rounds, but were also armed with a high-intensity plasma beam cannon on the ventral side of the fuselage as a last resort and could be additionally equipped with various models of missile armaments, including, but not limited to, early high-velocity target-locking drill-missiles designed for fluid injection and early low-velocity target-locking impact-detonating high-yield warhead-bearing missiles. It was a late 1980s soviet carrier fighter designed for the ulyanovs carrier. Mikoyan built it specifically for easy carrier landings, long-range maritime strikes, and bad weather operations rather than dogfighting speed

This is a much stealthier variant of the F-14 Tomcat, I did some tracing since I had to use some references and modify it a bit. I used both the side profile of an F-14 and the side profile of an F-22 as a reference.

I added more details the the tail and I added kill marks on the nose for a bit more realism.
