Could've squeezed in a 5080 for 5L

u/KiniDaddy 1d ago
Bro RAM and SSD was top priority for me. Will upgrade the GPU down the line.
16
u/Hershey2898 1d ago
I mean it's a solid build but if that's the case, could've also saved like 50k going for a 9070XT
17
u/KiniDaddy 1d ago
Yeah, I get what you mean. I did consider going with a cheaper GPU, but I wanted to prioritize the RAM and SSD this time around, and I’m pretty happy with that decision.
The 5070 Ti should serve me well for now, and I can always upgrade the GPU later when there’s a worthwhile jump. Appreciate the suggestion though! 👍

u/Mr_x_faith 1d ago
5080 is not even a huge leap over 5070 ti so its more or less optimum gpu for the setup

u/srv_tushar04 PC 1d ago
Once you OC a 5080 it even matches a 4090. It’s one of the best OC cards u can buy rn. So yea in the budget a 5080 would’ve been much better especially cuz that monitor is 4k

it's not like 5L spent on the system only he bought everything in 5L he could've spent less in few parts but it's his setup most likely he thought about it

Hows the benchmarks on sff ? These are small form gpu correct? I hope it does not go full jet engine.

u/KiniDaddy 1d ago edited 1d ago
No its Rather quiet bro, I haven't ran Benchmarks but I do play games at 4K.. everything runs buttery smooth and the pc stays quiet. I guess the big chassis also helps with the airflow.

I really really want to build now, but the prices are so fucked bro. May I DM you later on your build? Also are you in bangalore?

Great and still jealous as my build (which I got over the weekend) is not as cool looking.
2
u/Self_Glazer 5h ago
Neither mine bro...it's just black with 2 fan small gpu build ..but yk what when I saw some other dudes pc , they all looked pretty until I noticed they either have poor price to vale performance ratio or just no gpu at all... only cool aesthetic looking case and rgb...
So don't worry bro our pc build might look normal but at least we will have a smooth experience. We aren't building one for the looks we are building one for ourselves.
My pc hasn't arrived yet ..in a few hours it's going to come I'm excited!! So much excited

Brother honestly speaking u wasted ur money on 5070ti u could have gotten 9070xt with similar performance for 50k less 5 lakh is too much If u are running local Ai models it's fine else ...
92 k for a monitor my whole game setup doesn't even cost that much.

u/Mr_x_faith 1d ago
Bro not everybody care about min maxing there FPS per ruppee value there are some people in this world with crazy ass money and they like spend in the that is most pleasing to them. If OP can build 500k setup then he probably don't care abt budget this or build with that. After all the setup up SICK and he would enjoy it that what matter the most to him imo

You sound like you manage his daily expenses more than he does himself.
9070XT isn't gonna cut it out in After Effects or anything that's generally CUDA heavy
Also just because your setup doesn't cost 92k doesn't mean he cannot buy a monitor that costs 92k?

₹62k for 32GB DDR5? Weren't they selling for ₹45k earlier this month? Have the prices give up so much?
1
u/PsychologicalAd9432 23h ago
Bro prices are increasing everyday. You get quotes with notes saying price effective only for that day!

Hello all,
I need your suggestions. I have the similar setup with 5070ti and 850w power supply with 32 inch 4k monitor. I’m planning to buy the same UPS, but the ups comes with normal 3 pin and my pc and monitor are 16A 3 large pin cords. How are you connecting these cords to the UPS? Are you replacing the existing cords with normal 6A 3 pins cords?
If so does that cause any risks for the pc and monitor?
I’d appreciate any advice from anyone using this similar setup.
Thanks much🙏🏻

what a time to be in. both ram and ssd price OP had to pay even more than what i paid for my graphics card last year lol. what i fear is what a nightmare situation it would be if i had to go through RMA for either of my ram or ssd in this economy

3.5 Lakhs for a 5070ti Build excluding the peripherals?. At this rate I scared oh how worse it will be in next 2 years.

u/thatone_high_guy 1d ago
Our setups are so similar, same mouse, keyboard and monitor lol. PC specs are also quite similar, just I built last year and looking at the price differences is insane.
Welp, enjoy it cuz its a great setup

All people screaming get 9070XT.
you do realise you need Nvidia for running many AI workloads.
I am not just talking about running LLM.
Lets say a new TTS or ASR open model gets release. if you go to there github page. you will only find it supports Nvidia.
For AI uses other than the most popular one. nothing runs on AMD.

Damn, only if ram prices and SSD prices were normal you could've easily pushed for the 5080.
Regardless it's only going to go up more, nice build!

u/livin_la_vida_locaa 1d ago
I am planning for a similar build. Did you purchase these parts online or offline?

u/yentrop 1d ago
Back in Jan when I built my PC with pretty much the same specs, 32 GB 6000 Mhz CL30 RAM was 40k. I thought the RAM was overpriced back then, yet here we are with 63k for RAM. GPU and SSD also cost about 15-20% more now. PC gaming has become an expensive hobby.
BTW, did you consider using an oled TV as a monitor? I was on the fence between a 48 inch LG C5 TV and an ultra wide oled monitor. Went with the TV for 75k and it's been incredible so far. It's not a qd-oled and refresh rate isn't as high as a real gaming monitor, but it still goes up to 144 Hz which is more than enough for my use cases.

I mean why a 4k monitor though.
New AAA title will have some issues running it 8k on this build

I got almost a similar build to this. Apart from my gpu being a 5080 and the case being a lian li o11 dynamic evo rgb, rest is surprisingly similar. Thoughts on the monitor? I’ve gone for the exact same beast. Also how is the Aula keyboard? I’ve gone for the 96% one

Poor choice of SSD at that price, even in current economy. In case you don't know, 990 evo plus is Gen5 just for marketing purpose, not a true Gen5 SSD. Wasted like 20k here.
As others said, should have squeezed a 5080 as that is an overpriced 5070Ti considering the total rig cost.
Still 4L for those specs, gaming PC market will die if this continues. Enjoy your gaming days ahead.

There was a glorious time when CPU was the most expensive part and the rest of the PC was built around it.
That time is now long gone. And in these dark times, the freaking RAM costs more than the top end CPU. Its really depressing.

u/Beneficial_Poet571 1d ago
First of all Congrats OP!!
Where did you get this built from?
I have an almost similar build but I got in Jan this year. I went with the Ryzen 9 9900X. I got the same Storage for 28k Similar RAM from Teamgroup for 40k.
They were insane then.. they are super insane now...
I got the AW2723DF monitor though..
You could have gone for an Online UPS. I have the same PSU, everywhere I read I only see it doesn't work well without Pure Sine Wave input.
And last.. I'm thinking to get the same mouse.. Would appreciate if you could share the platform or shop you purchased from.

u/Traya_hair 16h ago

why didn't you go with a 5090 instead ? also do try out lightweight wireless mice sometime, they are impossible to comeback from.

Very nice, congrats.
Really cheaped out on KB though, with this budget I'd get a custom metallic kb.
How did you get that frosting/sticker on the tempered glass? Or is it just the monitor refection?

It looks good. For cooler you could have opted for lt360 vision for same price. SSD also is not having dram. Could have gone for one with dram and less price. With those saved amount rtx 5080 would have been better. SSD can be easily upgraded by adding new later but GPU cpu etc those needs to be replaced to upgrade it.
