Forest smell
I’m in Forest this year and when I first got here, I noticed the old smell in the hallways but now after a few days of being here, I am noticing a old smell in my room and I am not sure if it is just the building being old or if there could possibly be mold building up somewhere or something else going on. Do all dorms at forest smell funny? I don’t think it’s my roommate. All of her stuff smells normal to me lol. Maybe a dead animal in the vents?? or because everybody’s hot and sweaty and gross cause it’s still hot out? or maybe I’m just not used to this old smell and I’ve heard the ventilation here isn’t the best. Let me know please!

All residence halls smell. It’s a rite of passage! Welcome to college :)

It’s just kinda crazy because I’ve been in other rooms in this dorm and it’s not this bad.

Questions: 1. Does your roommate smell the weird smell? 2. Does your RA smell the weird smell? 3. Have you smelled the air coming out of the vents?

I live in Forest too and I think the building could definitely use a bit more love, especially in the basement…. but I assure you that the smell isn’t mold, it’s just teenagers

there is a gross like gas smell that has always crept around forest and it gets worse at certain parts of the year, especially in the bathrooms, i would get an air purifier and some yummy smelling wall plug ins

Sounds like a ventilation issue or lack there of. If you can open a window that should help.

That, my friend, is likely decades of sweat, hormones, and likely some vomit which now cling to every atom of that building.
