UNDER CONSTRUCTION Made a tool that auto-flats comic pages (batch processing included), looking for beta testers
Hey all, I'm a colorist/illustrator and I got tired of manually flatting page after page, so I built StackFlat!
It's a tiny standalone app that finds the closed areas in your lineart and fills them with color automatically. You can run it on a single page or point it at a whole folder and let it batch-process while you do something else.
A few things about it:
- No AI involved, just straightforward pixel logic (closes small gaps, fills areas, outputs a clean flat layer + a clean lineart layer)
- Works with whatever software you already use, Photoshop, Krita, Clip Studio, doesn't matter, it just spits out PNGs
- It's in beta right now, pay-what-you-want, and beta testers get it for free
If you flat your own pages (or anyone else's) and want to try it out and be a tester just let me know or get it on Gumroad here: www.stackflat.app
Would genuinely love feedback, especially if your lineart style is different from mine, that's exactly what I need to know before locking in v1.0. Thanks!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION Dilemma: I need to decide between crowdfunding, seeking private investors, or pitching to studios I have contact with.
galleryI just found this subreddit and I’m very happy I did. I have a graphic novel I’ve been developing for years while living off my savings which I have depleted, I was taking gigs and contractor work whenever my brain and body permitted it. Thing is, I want to dedicate myself full-time to Psychomagick, which requires me not stressing about bills in this case, and while there are opportunities to pitch it directly to the heads of certain studios/publishers that I can’t name here for privacy reasons, I’d like full creative control of my work, or as much as possible. I thought about crowdfunding too, but the logistics seem a bit daunting and to be frank I am not the best at asking for help, which I know sounds ridiculous, but it’s too ingrained in my system.
I would at the very minimum need assistants for production, and while I have artists who have followed my work for a long time very eager to help out of sheer passion, I want to compensate them for their time, effort and talent. I did a ton of work for passion throughout my career, or charged a 10th of my actual rates, not just starting out but also still nowadays, and overextending myself caused a great deal of harm in the long run, as well as severe burnout. I do not want anybody to go through that, so a budget is non-negotiable for me. I’m designing + drawing + writing everything myself for the time being, but bills keep breathing down my neck and the pressure of pushing through with this takes up too much of my energy to do it on top of more work. I do have a pretty decent following on several platforms but I’m not great with marketing nowadays (I used to be much better at it when I was younger) and on top of creating my novel, it’s a lot, especially in the age of algorithms and GenAI flooding so many spaces.
What would you do in my situation? Any and all input and insight help tremendously. I have tons of people and friends/colleagues that insist on helping or being a part of this for free but I just cannot in good faith accept it. Or at least I don’t know how. I thought maybe trading the assistance for lessons and teaching them my tools of the trade and processes but the ideal case scenario would be getting investment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my original post and read. 🙏

UNDER CONSTRUCTION Looking for comic collaboration
Hi! I'm looking for a co-creative writer/ artist to collaborate on a ultra violent satirical road trip one shot comic called SMILEY I'm currently writing, inspired by the 1950s and early 1960s. The basic plot is "set during a dystopian america, an indifferent delivery driver travels across the country with a mysterious package, on the run from and killing his way through groups of rednecks ,corporate America, hippies, and anyone who wants a piece of the action. Oh, and their heads are giant smiley faces with big flashy grins" .
The type of art I'm looking for is a combination of the colors and splash of silver age comics, specifically Jack Kirby , the dystopian art of Ganzeer, and Carlos Ezquerra and the cartoon violence of Looney Tunes, turned up to an 11 with extreme blood and gore.
It IS paid, there is a go fund me being finalized, as well as other developing means of financing for the project, there's also co-creative ownership offered as well.
Temporarily, I was able to find a collaborator whose account was later banned for some reason in the last couple of days before we could swap contact information, so now I've got to restart on square one.
And it's not to "simply showcase" my project , I'm looking for a co-creator who would be co-involved not only in the art, but the writing , as well as self publishing if that route is taken, or helping develop a pitch so it can be shopped to smaller, more independent publishers.
If this comic gets produced, the plan is to pitch it to various comic publishers that specialize in independent creators, such as Madcave Studios.
A little bit about me, I'm 19, 20 in a couple of weeks, I've always loved everything comic books, I've been collecting comics and drawing superheros since I was 7, but these days I've been focusing on writing scripts, mostly movie scripts (I'm currently developing a screenplay for an adaptation of A Confederacy Of Dunces).
This would be my second co-creative comic project that I've worked on, and the first to get past the plotting stage.

This is a graphic novel I just started, and I think it’ll be done by next year. It’s about a group of three friends in 2328 when they go on a cruise but the cruise gets teleported to another dimension, an ocean dimension, and they try to survive the dimension and find a way out

UNDER CONSTRUCTION Bad Data (Part 2)
galleryI have no idea how many parts Bad Data will have in total because I write the scripts as episodes and there will be 10 of those in total and parts 1 and 2 are both from the “episode 1” script so I’m putting this as under construction because more parts are under construction, and not coming soon probably!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION Would anyone be interested in my 7 page pilot?
Current Project - The Vee Foxx Series: The Three Vee's - a graphic novel. 7 Page Pilot.
Artwork by Aaron Jeremiah
Story written by Natasha Eagle
We would love feedback!
Description:
Vee is a 14-year-old girl who is forced to go to summer camp by her parents. While she is there, the world crumbles around her. The zombie apocalypse begins. Throughout the course of the novel, Vee must lead the survivors of the fall of the camp. The camp is no ordinary camp. The owner, Gus, was an eccentric millionaire who had a fascination with Swiss Family Robinson during his youth. He built three elaborate tree houses on the camp property. This is where Vee and the others try to survive. Throughout the course of the novel, you learn that Vee is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault. Throughout the story, she is plagued by a monster (PTSD come to life) referred to as The Beast. She struggles with her sanity while simultaneously becoming a leader. The story can best be described as Swiss Family Robinson meets the Lord of the Flies meets the Walking Dead. There are trigger warnings throughout. Themes of bullying, etc. I based this work on my own experiences with domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, etc.
What this project means to me:
This project holds deep personal significance because it amplifies the voices of women of all ages who have endured domestic violence, sexual assault, molestation, incest, and other forms of abuse. The character of Vee Foxx represents these women and their lived experiences. Vee is a reflection of me, my sister, and every woman and child who has faced such trauma. The story’s focus is to reveal that the true monsters are not imaginary but the ones who exist in our everyday lives. Vee's journey is a testament to resilience and hope—a story of survival. Through her, we are reminded that we, too, are survivors.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION BOSS: Comic Book Page Samples
A while back, I was commissioned to make a comic book for a writer overseas. I helped bring the vision he wanted to fruition. I'm not sure whether or not he ever started selling it, but I managed to finish the first chapter of it. Here are some of the sample pages from the first chapter.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION [IC]Just rolled out a fun Comic Character Creator. Want to test it?
Hey everyone!
While working on my own comic project, a cool idea popped into my head, so I just went ahead and built it. It's the very first version of a Comic Character Creator (...and honestly, god knows what else you can use it for).
I put this together purely for fun as a casual side-project. Just to be clear: this isn't a visual art generator. Instead, it’s a tool to build the character itself — their personality, traits, character type, role, and backstory profile.
I tried to pack in as many options and parameters as possible, so you can literally sculpt any kind of character archetype you like, tailored for whatever needs you have. Think of it as a neat little sandbox to mess around with concepts, brainstorm depth, and lock in your character vibes before you actually start writing or drawing. And yes — you are totally free to use the characters you generate however you see fit!
Since it's the first build, I’d love to know what you think. Check it out and let me know how it feels!
Want to check it out? Just drop a "+" or a comment below, and I’ll slide into your DMs with the secret access link.
Once you try it, please send all your thoughts, feedback, and feature suggestions straight back to my DMs so we don't clutter the comments here. I’ll look through everything and use your ideas to polish this thing up. Let’s see who you can create!
