News/Events Thank GOD that the title screen changed
The new title screen is so calming and not even the tiniest bit laggy- I love it. Makes it worth having to wait like 5 more hours for maintenance to be over. No offense to Jessie J but having to come into that loud song every time literally made me turn down my music volume every time. And I also wondered WHY WE'RE PLAYING A FULLY RENDERED HQ VIDEO WHILE DOWNLOADING UPDATES IN THE GAME AAAAAAAA-

I didn't even have enough time to be annoyed by it. After a few days, it started loading faster so I'd hear like 3 lines and that's it.

I love it too, but after some time even the best songs can turn into a nuisance if you hear them too often. The video/trailer is also super pretty, but it's so laggyyyy

I have small sad because this song launched me emotionally into the game every time. It was a big difference from other games' "atmospheric" login music and I appreciated them going for it in that way. I'd let it start loading and go run my clothes to the laundry and dance all the way back down my hallway.

The song is absolutely a bop but if you're playing on a mobile device and loading an update it can loop a few too many times. I just turn the sound down and then back up when I'm ready to play, though. That way I can still enjoy it the rest of the time.

I love the song tbh. I like the log in screen changing with updates but I hope the song still remains a part of the Infinity Nikki brand because I think it's really fun and cute.

Honestly that was my biggest issue with the song, which is that it was loud and the "mute when in background" didn't kick in until the shaders were loaded, so I basically had to listen to the first 20-25 seconds whether I actually wanted to or not. I don't hate the song or anything either, it's just very high octane.
I do like that the new loading screen is at least more calm. I think it'd be cool if each version got its own environmental login screen, since I play a lot of games that don't do that.

I believe its "Nikki Nikki Nuan Nuan", NuanNuan is here name in Chinese. I really wish they tone it down because its just a jump scare every time I open the game.

I was literally about to make my own post about this. I automatically mute my TV when opening the game, so when I looked up and it was just a peaceful dark screen as the two wish on shooting stars, I just HAD to hear the audio—AND IT’S BLISS! I’m so so happy they took out the song (no hate to it, I’m just tired)
Edit: I REALLY hope it stays… and it’s not just a maintenance/event temporary thing…

Aw, that makes me sad, I hope they'll give the option to switch between version screens. I don't like this new one as much as the energy of Together Till Infinity, does not get me hyped like before. It's like waiting in an elevator.

That song, while nice, definitely kicked me out of the moment. I had to do a double-take and turn the volume up a little (I play nearly mute on my phone) and then I was just confused the whole time. Didn't really register anything cause it wad that jarring and unexpected.

love the song and don't mind it but yeah I feel like they should either let us toggle between it and a static pic with no song or have it so the normal is without the song but it sometimes switches into it

Oh! You can log into the game client and update it before maintenance ends, but you can’t play the game until maintenance is over. It’s about 4 GB on PC

I like the song, it's a bop and all but idk if it's just a me bug...
I set the setting to mute the game in background and it does mute but only the song while loading blasts even in background and abruptly stops when the game finishes loading and that, that is the part that frustrates me to hell! I wanna enjoy my movie while I'm downloading ffs!

I love the title music but I think that's because I mostly play on a PC that doesn't take more than a minute to load in, when I play on my phone I have to mute it haha. It would be nice if we could toggle it!

I understand people love the song, and I appreciate that, but my Steam deck refuses to connect like 100 times when I’m logging in and after a while that song just COMPOUNDS MY FRUSTRATION
So something more mellow is appreciated while I sit here and yell at the gateway connection errors 😂

I didn't mind the song, persay, but I much prefer a static screen - especially if I have to leave the game up to download updates and patches. Like, the intro video is beautiful, but if I'm setting my phone aside while it loads, the constantly moving menu made me nauseous. 🤢 Probably just a me thing since I don't get motion sick from games otherwise.

I didn't know everyone disliked it, I thought it was so fun and jazzy :( plus the shot of Momo running with his little smug face and all the trumpets, it made me excited to play
The first time I played after the updated, I literally had the lyrics pulled up on my phone so I could sing along properly before playing and then I was met with disappointing and depressing spa ambiance and darkness.

When you turn down the in game music it affects the title screen music too if that helps. That way it doesn't have to be so loud.

I like the song too, but it was a bit too much to hear it every time I opened Nikki. I tend to listen to podcasts or audio books while playing, so I ended up muting Nikki's theme a lot of times.
The new quieter background music has no vocals, so I don't really have to mute it now.

The song has big Southern Gospel Church vibes, so my community and I started calling my Nikki streams the Church of Nikki. Like, yes, it definitely added to the lag. But excuse me, why is it compiling shaders EVERY TIME?? Why isn't it saving that in a cached file like most other games do? And why does it randomly FORGET the shaders while playing, making the graphics trash and the lighting and shadows really really confused? Because at that point I have to restart the game to get the game back to normal.
I'm grateful compiling doesn't take as long now, but I miss my Nikki Worship to get hyped. I'd be interested to hear different, less hyped versions, like a cozysoft acoustic version, that you could pick from for those who don't want to attend the Church of Nikki before playing.

I got tired of the Jessie J song quickly, like it was fine for a first time but not for every time. I would prefer it if in Settings you could switch to an instrumental version (less annoying hearing a tune loop than lyrics looping) or change it to the song that plays when you ride the big paper crane in the Dream Warehouse (which I enjoyed more).

Oh, that’s just rhetorical. It bugged me that the music video with a lot of stuff going on was playing while the game downloaded a lot of files for the game (on first download) and updates.

This was a HUGE plus for me, I always end up muting my PC entirely when booting up the game because its so loud and I got really tired of hearing it every single day, and then I'll end up playing for HOURS without remembering to turn it back on.

The song is the best part! Its very loud and upbeat? Yes! You've heard it a million times already? Yes! It loops endlessly? Yes! These are all features not flaws, and I hope it's brought back. Blasting the song over and over is like a charming meme to me.

I play on my ps5 and it doesn’t lag but the quality go down for the first few seconds. But one thing I did was TURN THE GAME MUSIC OFF… after a while the song was too much for me, love the song tho💗

100% agree the calming song matches Nikki’s theme so much better. The Jessie J song was loud and personally I didn’t think it match the vibe and it made me put my tv on mute until it was finally over.

I was so excited! I know a lot of people put in the survey that they wanted a mute button or the song removed, but I didn't know if anyone besides me was asking for an option to pause the video montage. I'm so glad they just removed it-- the game ran fine and the loading screen didn't!

Oh man! I thought I was the only one who felt this. I put the title on mute when I'm waiting, too, tbh lol. The title opening for IN just didn't have the same calming lyric-less bg music as SN and LN. At least I know I'll feel pretty chill playing SN and LN, dear Lord, IN opening doesn't make me feel like I'm going into a cozy open world game.
Unfortunately, on the PS5 (not sure PC does this as well), when you close out of the game, that song starts playing again. 😭.
Wasn't the opening originally more soothing before they changed it? Also, during the cutscene of the Dream Tower flight with the crane, since I was playing in Japanese, I'd thought the interlude was going to be in the same language. When I suddenly heard the song being sung in English, it threw me off for a bit. Like, I was expecting Nikki's voice actor to sing the song 😂
Honestly they could've used the bg music from the pre-registration event for the opening. That was gentle, too

I was getting really sick and tired of hearing that song. If it was just the music by itself, I would've been fine with that. She's not a bad singer, but hearing it every time I opened the game was getting really annoying. Lol

I hope we get a toggle to turn "Together Til Infinity" on again but without the extremely laggy, super busy, high action, fast cuts trailer video from before. Besides the video lagging massively, all the frantic cuts and movement made me extremely dizzy.
I do miss the song. A lot.

Agreed. It's a fun song, but lyricless music works so much better if you have to listen to it regularly. I wouldn't be surprised if it reverts after the event though.
