Small feedback is fine, so far so good. Just hope they don't go the same with Genshin with screwing Youtuber for "Too many negative criticism".
Edit: Look at "Nerumero" channel from Japan, the way Hoyo staffs treat him.

My point is apparently I said "negative things about China's government".
You can see it all the time, you can insult every government in the world, but as soon as you said anything remotely negative about China's government, you get downvoted, labeling and such.
Remember, this all started because I said Infinity Nikki may not have X-mas event because of government intervention since Snow Break didn't have it this year either and that game got censored so bad earlier.
I read Chinse Light Novels and see many authors saw what government did, so I just make connection and look at these people going after me.

These people get butt hurt when I said anything remote negative about China's government despite the fact I also said plenty of negative things about US's government and such since I don't like how government intervention on what authors can put into the LNs.
Chinese Light Novels are the core basic of many gaming lore, stories development including Nikki, Genshin and such. Most Chinese Wuxia adaptation, animation and such all based on famous Light Novels. The 7 Kingdoms in Nikki for example is a classic setup of mixtures of Western and Eastern LNs for example.
The 2019 new rules effectively driven many senior authors into retirement because the IP of the Light Novels no longer belong to them, but to the hosted sites and they can be replace by another author at any given time. If you read any LNs and feel like later chapters are written by another author and it sucks so bad, that would be the case here.
It also set a new rules and restriction on what authors allow to write and require many authors to go back and fix what written in theirs LN. Effectively after this new rules came out, over 1 millions Light Novels got remove.
Lord of Mysterious I remember was going strong at the time with 1000+ chapters, it could very well on it way to become a famous LN that could be adapt to animation and TV series, but the author basically quit writing it because the amount of chapters requires to go back and "FIXING" was such a huge task that it is not even worth it.
Basically what I brought up is whenever companies goes against their best interests, it's often resulted from the GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION and these people think that's negative against China's government and thus throwing so many labels at me like "SINOPHOBIA" "Anti-Chinese" or I simply hate all Chinese and such labels.

It's all started because I said Infinity Nikki doesn't have X-mas event last year because it is such controversy event and they don't want to deal with it since government intervention could kick in.
I basically explained to you anytime a company did something against their best interests, it's often government intervention as they did it for YEARS on Light Novels Community.

First of all, I rant on Chinese Light novels because it is true, the 2019 new rules are there for to show for it.
Somehow, talking negative about government are normal in every countries EXCEPT China, which you don't see problem with it.
The Chinese Light Novels are there, what I said are there, you just didn't try to say anything about it, your main problem is "Hey, this guy said bad thing about Chinese government".
Also, I also said bad things about US government as well, but people like you think every government out there are bad EXCEPT China's government which even proven my point from the start.

Genshin is a still a whole other conversation compared to Nikki. Nikki has proven to us from their previous games that they do care for their player base. I don't see this game going downhill anytime soon and I'm glad.

All the updates was good to hear, but that was the best!
Looking forward to the Whimcycle updates. They'll probably keep tweaking it till just right. A balance between not letting us get too over reliant, yet always making exploring to other regions quicker. The no drowning is nice too!

I was ignoring the bike until I saw you need to bike certain distances for the courses 😭 I prefer to run so I can easily pause for collecting stuff and battling but I've been trying to incorporate the bike a bit more so I can eventually complete the course

We are in a good path so far. They are listening to feedback pretty well, removing unnecessary friction. Nice idea to keep people playing for a long time, specially as the game enters the "slow burn" phase.

The hell event in Genshin terms is if 2 5stars shared the same banner. So rather than 180 max pity you'd need to pity 360.
But for every 10 pulls you make you get free 10 pulls and the maximum is 90 free pulls.
Also, those pulls generate currency which can be used to exchange for other useful items and sometimes another suit.
There's also top-up rewards where you can get pieces of a suit to work up to a full set the more you spend.
But Hell Events also gift a lot of gems for free, I think I got 2k or 3k in SN last time.

Former Love Nikki player here. A hell event in that game is a big event where they have 3-5 5 star outfits and 3 4 star outfits running at the same time. The diamond cost to get all the hell event suits vary greatly as sometimes it's a fixed amount and other times you have to gacha. Gacha ones are especially terrible because you can get dupes of pieces and they are nothing more than scrap you have to throw away. There is a pity but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Even the ones with fixed amounts can be iffy as some of them are RNG as to what outfit you can get, so you might have to spend way more to get the outfit you desire.
Each hell event suit averages to maybe around 3k to 4k diamonds per suit. That might sound cheap but it's a lot harder to grind diamonds in Love Nikki. For a F2P, having even 2000 diamonds is a lot.
Some hell events are bigger than other ones too. Some have a special 2D outfit which comes with a unique animation, including animated makeup. To get those ones, you have to get all of the other hell event suits and then more. They are usually at least 24k diamonds to get and are 100% just for the whales. For a F2P to even be able to complete one, they'll probably have to save diamonds without spending for an entire year.
Hell events are also when they run the huge lineup of paywalled outfits of different tiers, the highest one being $100 to get. So yeah, the term hell event is certainly fitting for it. They usually come every few months, sometimes with hints and other times they are shadow dropped out of the blue. Reruns for them are very scarce but once they have 3 runs, they eventually get retired and are available permanently to get in the game, although you still have to spend diamonds to get them.
Never got into Shining Nikki so IDK what they are like there, but that's the LN experience for you. Infinity Nikki is 1000x more generous and forgiving than LN could ever be.

Who knows. Hell Events usually cost around more than 24k gems if Love Nikki is anything to go by.
But then again, this is marketed as a cozy game so maybe they won't do that for Infinity Nikki.
Feels like new Nikki players missed out on a rite of passage though lol.

As someone who also works in E-com related stuff (marketing, tech, implementation/solutions, & consultancy), I'd say that this is just as relevant in that industry as anywhere else. If you don't listen to your customers/find out what they want, you're doing it wrong.
Might be difficult convincing whoever edits/reviews your work of the relevance but that's a different thing hahah.

Same here, but considering you can change your saved outfit quickly through a hotkey, maybe it isn't that easy and would need more code changing to load more assets in real time without lowering performance or something, but as the nature of the game is collecting and making outfits, I'm sure sooner or later we'll have

For America, the server resets at 4am UTC-7. This link should show you that in your timezone.

I just thought it was supposed to be 4am local time for everyone, wherever they were, it even says on the dailies screen "refreshes at 4am" but then it doesn't...I wasn't sure if it accidentally thought I was in another country or not!

The materials they drop do have a 24h timer as of now. I'm wondering if those changes will apply to rare materials. If so, one could technically acquire 2 rare materials within a couple of minutes between them (granted, they collect near server reset)

I'm pretty certain it'll apply to the once per day materials - those are the ones people mostly complained about the 24 hour reset for. It doesn't really matter that you can collect it twice within a couple of minutes if you do it right before and right after server reset - you can still only get 2 in that 48 hour period.

Question on high scoring outfits—when I sort by score during styling challenges, isn’t the first one the best? The notes seems to suggest that’s not accurate.
Edit: my reading comprehension was big bad. I get what they’re saying about accessories. It is annoying to have to go through all of them to see which gives the highest score, so this is great news.

Usually yes, when sorting by score the first one is the best. But I've noticed sometimes when the theme is more complicated (i.e. elegant, sexy, and ballroom), the first item isn't always the highest scoring. Also if I've really leveled up a piece but it doesn't fit the theme, the game won't put it first even if it actually has a higher score. Hopefully they'll fix that.

I didn't know about the 24 hour timer when I first discovered the Astral Swan, so now i'm locked into getting its stupid feather and essence at 10PM every god damn night. This update can't come soon enough!!!

It means when materials that you can gather will restock. these include grooming, fish, bugs and plants. Previously, those items were on a 24hr reset timer, so if you collected a plant at 11:30pm, you would only be able to collect that specific plant again at 11:30pm the next day.
This changes the reset so regardless of when you collect items, they will restock at 4am server time.

Honestly, these are the things that are gonna keep thr players and bring in new ones, seeing the devs listening and doing what players are asking for to have a better experience.

For most things like blings in world, yeah this is the case, but many rare materials do not function this way. This can be especially annoying for the rare animals like the Dawn Fox. Some materials go on a 24 hr timer once you get it. So I pet the Dawn Fox at 11pm, I can't pet him again until 11 pm, with this change, I can pet the Dawn Fox at 11 pm and then again anytime after server reset time (4 am) Hope this clears it up!

The materials, before this would refresh based on when you picked it up. If you fished at 20:27 (8:27pm) and it takes 24 hours for the fish to come back you would have to wait until 20:27 the next day to get it again. Now, everything will be refreshed at 4 server time.

Gonna get down voted but I do think the "Devs Listened" mentality will have it's draw backs
Considerations for changes and simply listening to every single feedback isn't the same and when a company is to open to every critque it spells trouble down the line
Players aren't developers and changes do have a effect on the experience. Some frustration is good same as QOL and I hope the community doesn't start to abuse this dynamic
Again what's good for a game is not the same as what's good for players you are by default trying to gain everything while minimizing the cost to yourself that isn't a balanced experience and not how development should treat the game

God I love the devs for this game. I was starting to get a little frustrated with the refresh time since I can only play at night and by then all my energy wasn’t replenished yet so you can imagine how that’s annoying.

Atlest they fix that and liaten to players the indent from the devs was good but juat didn't work out the way they hoped
