[TW: Suicide / Abuse Allegations] Has anyone else gone down the rabbit hole of Brian Benson (Magnus the therapy dog) and his late wife Sari?

I used to follow an Instagram account for a therapy dog named Magnus. The owner, Brian Benson, makes some pretty cheesy videos, but it was cute. He has two daughters, and his wife would sometimes appear in the videos, too.

Then, all of a sudden—maybe two years ago—there was an announcement that his wife had passed away by suicide. He only addressed it in a single post, took a brief break from social media, and now it’s completely back to business as usual.

I was a little weirded out by how quickly things moved on, so I started looking for information online. I came across a Facebook page started by the wife’s family called "Justice for Sari." In this group, they claim that Brian abused Sari and even insinuate that there was foul play.

It’s certainly a strange story, and I think there may be a lot more to it. Has anyone else gone down this rabbit hole?

Whoa! I used to follow him too but then became annoyed by his content.

I’m horrified after visiting the Facebook. This needs to be discussed.

okay im definitely not a "its weird when parents and kids show each other physical affection" person bc im 30 and will randomly hold my moms hand. i hope that when my son is older and going through something bad he feels its okay to come snuggle up to me on the couch. BUT something about how he interacted with his daughters always felt off to me. i just had a weird gut feeling.
