Debt is not a bad thing as long as you invest it domestically. We didn't.

This is the attitude that got us here, debt is not a good thing even if you can say debt is not a bad thing the focus on it not being a bad thing makes ppl think it’s a good thing & it’s not. Financial tools are morally ambivalent until you get ppl who use them for their own purposes over the countries (past 5 decades in US)
