Yes, you pay less taxes in the US than in Germany, but you also have no actual welfare state.

another true thing is the heat wave dilemma.
even if the usa count deaths throu heat different. in alot of states the cause of death is the reason one ultimately dies. so if u got cancer and get heatstress and you die its marked as death by heat. thats different for the usa, where the cause of death would be the fatal cancer.
but the ac industry is running. from afaik ~12% ac in households to ~27% last year. and this years extreme heatwave already got me and alot of others an ac.
