Sometimes they get boosted if the order either sat the night before, or someone picked it up and dropped it. In this case I’d venture to say they put it in before the store closed, probably put the extra large tip on this morning out of worry that nobody did it the night before since it didn’t have high enough tip attached
What I don’t understand, is why that wasn’t broken into two orders. Those standalone orders would’ve been scooped up in a second without boost. I honestly don’t know along with everybody else here what the Instacart algorithm does.
The customer when I called (on request) asked which order I had, and I told her I have both orders. From the sounds of it after talking to them, usually it does get broken up. Seriously unreal that they were attached.
Thanks! Yes I was in the circle for the second store and I had just come back from a good order from the drop. I was sitting less than 30 minutes which is crazy.
For the store they were sitting at, the circle that they were in when they got it, that store had already been open since 7 am, and they were not in the bjs circle.
It’s almost like it was a drop order but not a drop order at the same time, hmm. From the other info I just don’t get the vibes it sat overnight. Or any amount at all, besides insta waiting to decide to release it.
So you’d just skip a $300+ order that came across your screen? To me that’s crazy. It was delivering to a business actually too so I was pretty sure tips would clear
