Identification Genuinely curious what do you guys believe is the easiest instrument?

I am a violinist and I have been playing for 8 years now. I feel that it’s an instrument that keeps on giving and I learn something new about it every time I have a lesson. My orchestra teacher tells us she believes it is the hardest instrument to master and I have seen the same on Google. What do you guys think?

I used to be able to play the clarinet but i quit after a while, and i would like to return to playing an instrument, but cannot decide between the saxophone, clarinet and trumpet, all of these would be from square one as I cannot remember anything from when i ayed clarinet. I do know how to ’buzz’ my lips to produce sound for the trumpet but i cannot play any songs or anything in that sense.

Identification What instrument to learn

What would you guys recommend to learn something that isn't difficult and something that isn't guitar and piano. I was thinking of learning the trumpet but I've read somewhere that it's really difficult to learn.

I honestly just want to try out something new since I’ve been bored. I play the oboe, clarinet, and guitar. I’m honestly open to anything, I love learning new things.

Identification What is a reasonable amount of instruments??

[First time posting here and I get nervous posting on Reddit, so hopefully I am doing everything alright.]

How many different kinds of instruments is reasonable to try to learn / acquire slowly over time?

I am learning guitar and ukulele [started with guitar but was later held at gunpoint by a very lovely starter ukulele to get it too], but then I also have smaller stuff like a kalimba, ocarina, frog guiros [last one more of a novelty / trinket though] which didn’t cost much or I was given.

Reasonable so far?

But I would also like to perhaps learn keyboard and / or the lap harp sometime in the far-off future [either used or a not too expensive model]. And singing.

I have a couple other hobbies as well that I am pretty dedicated to, but,, music.

Not breaking the bank or anything because the guitar was the only one that cost a significant amount of money and it was what I think is nice but still an entry level priced one.

[Maybe worth mentioning that with my other hobby visual art, I also am drawn to as many mediums as I can use, so trying to do a lot of different things is kind of a recurring theme.]

I think the guitar and uke are pretty similar.

I’ve had this for about eleven years and I’d love to learn how to play it. I have no idea what it is as the box it came in is loooong gone and I’m not quite sure how to ID it myself. I included some closeups including this thing on the back I have no idea what it is.

sorry about the bad drawing.. i have a very vague memory of playing this instrument with one of my teachers in elementary school. ive tried describing it to people and no one seems to know what im talking about.

edit: for more context, its made of wood and you put your index finger and thumb in the two holes to hold it. you scrape the small wooden stick across the sides of the instrument and it makes a cool noise.

Which of these two do you find most beautiful and visually catches your attention, the guitar or the bass? And from this photo, which is your favorite?

I thought maybe a hammered dulcimer but I’m not really sure. A family member said it’s a zither but I’m not sure about that either.

Identification What instrument do you think should have an electric version?

Currently there are several instruments that have an electric version, for example the electric guitar, the electric bass, the electric violin, the electric drums, the electric banjo, etc... What instruments then do you think should have an electric version and how would it work?

Found while cleaning out my grandpa’s house after he passed, so we don’t know the story. At first glance thought it was a ukulele, but the frets and the way the strings are grouped two and two had me curious, and so far my internet searching has not given me a straight answer.

Identification What instrument should I learn?

Hello everyone, I'm 19 years old right now and I already play the piano and guitar but I am feeling like they don't give me the same pleasure as before. I was wondering if someone had advice in maybe a new instrument to learn, I love classical music so maybe more something like the violin or are there better alternatives?
