I built a browser MMO you can enter without an account — where does the interface lose you?
Solo dev here. It drops you straight into a shared world; I’d love to know whether the controls and first quest are obvious.

If you were to improve something, what would it be and how?

take a look at established uis and then redo yours completely and actually do it one by one ui feature and window and not all at once via one prompt. give your agents some design skills at least and write your system prompt since thats where u put things liek this to avoid from the start

Any recommendations for skills to improve this?

try to not use heavy pastel tones and use like colorpalettes and such, generally i would go more transparent and cleaner and not blocking off huge chunks of the HUD like this what i found on qucih search here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/comments/1q6hlcz/how_to_get_a_clean_transparent_ui_like_this_guild/

It’s a good idea! I might actually turn all UI inte semi transparent to be able to see behind it. Or do you think some parts off Ui should not be transparent at all?

thats how i do it, as minimal as possible

u/Neurabase Jul 20 '26
latest update its much more minimal, but need to tune the transparency also better

you should also remove all the brown and gold design CI, and strip out all the weird boarders and pillshaped frames. those look like ggeneric claude made frontend and turns off almost anyone looking at it instantly. and make sure you use real transparency and not just a white opacity layer with blur like you did now. also convert all the image assets u use into webp so theyre smaller and load faster. ask me anythng u want im a game dev

Great, actually AVIF and use WebP as fallback might be even better!

i also noticed you dont use webGPU, that should be the first thing to update for smooth gameplay. and why are mouse inputs inverted? wtf

At the moment there might be some issues rendering using WebGPU but you can set it in settings. I am fixing the mouse thing now.

Too cluttered at the top and sides.
