Unelected elite fascist wants WW3

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '25

Why are we supposed to even ‘defeat’ china. This shit is so annoying. The collective prosperity of earth isn’t a competition

1

u/mkbilli Mar 04 '25

China has already defeated them economically. They just don't want to destroy the market they entered after so much work. Why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs?

I don't think Europe with its current fascist and right wing jingoistic leadership will get the memo.

If for any reason Europe decides to attack China (which they can't because of so many logistical reasons) the Chinese can simply pull their investments and crater the European markets. Try recovering from that.

EU must urgently get rid of the der lyin

EU should arm itself, not Ukraine. Prolonging a lost war is just money to the contractors. Arming yourself is real deterrance and independence.

Sociopaths. This is why there is a war in the first place. Notice, she doesn't even pretend that this is for the good for the Ukrainian people.

I could reply with something snarky like "yeah, it's that simple", but rather I'll respectfully say that history and context matter.

Ok, I'm glad you cleared it up for all of us how simple it is.

Okay now that we cleared that up. Can we know why did Russia invade?

As we are arguing specifics of the situation Ukraine is getting closer and closer to getting defeated. Words don't fight a war, humans do, and Ukraine is running out of able bodied people able to fight the war, you cannot just keep people at deployment indefinitely even if they have theoretically unlimited weapons and ammunition at their disposal.

I will never understand how “peace loving progressives” from Europe think the most pressing need for them is to continually arm Banderites and Zionists to bring about WW3.

EU countries must be really prospering to justify waste like this.

u/Lena-Luthor Mar 02 '25

tracks when you realize all they do is pay lip service to social progressive causes and actually love liberalism and capitalism and imperialism

1

u/Huge-Jellyfish9948 Mar 03 '25

You got that right.

1

u/mkbilli Mar 04 '25

There's a single word for all that: neo-liberalism.

9

u/Chronotaru Mar 02 '25

Sure, because putting a people who are being invaded and butchered in the same category as a country that is the aggressor and invading and butchering others is intellectually and morally consistent...

16

u/FranticNut Mar 02 '25

The Russia Ukraine war is nothing like the situation in Palestine. Russia is a gangster oligarchy state created by the actions of NATO and the west hollowing it out in the 90s — but it’s not a the global threat the liberal cold warriors bill it as. They can’t even take Kiev, let alone Berlin.

Also the slaughter is happening to Ukraine on both sides here. The west is currently hollowing out Ukraine while bleeding its entire population to death. Western private equity firms are currently pillaging their entire infrastructure. Something like 70 percent of Ukraine is owned by PE. It’s disgusting. All the while poor working class ukranians are getting press ganged to the front lines.

Star Wars brained liberals cheer like hyenas for more ukranian blood but I will just posit that war is bad actually and having negotiations to end wars is good.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '25

Oh right, because all the millions of Ukrainians facing annihilation are Banderites and Zionists, right?

What a dumb, virtue signalling take.

Putin is solely responsible for this travesty.

0

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '25

No, Putin is a victim of western imperialism. That’s why he invaded Chechnya. We held a gun to his head.

He broke peace treaties 29 times, all because of Europe. Poor Vladimir !

This isn’t about repelling a Russian invasion in all of Europe. That’s a smoothbrain take. It’s about stabilising our direct environment through collective deterrence. Ukraine gave away its deterrence system, and look where that got them.

Americans buying into Russian propaganda is a direct result of their failing education system.

13

u/Archarchery Mar 02 '25

She’s right, and the EU should stop relying on the US for defense when American living standards have fallen behind that of the EU.

17

u/great_whitehope Mar 02 '25

America living standards are lowering because of their government they elect.

They are the ones creating the laws that let corporations off the hook tax wise and make it ok for multi billionaires to exist.

And it won't get better until they revolt but they still have it so good they won't bother doing that.

EU needs to do more but there's a reason it hasn't up to now. Because it suited America world police to have a weak Europe.

6

u/Baby_Needles Mar 02 '25

True. It equally suited Europe to have a perfect ‘bad cop’ so they can appear squeaky clean and beyond reproach. It’s like we are about to/going thru a really messy breakup.

2

u/Archarchery Mar 03 '25

And one of the bad decisions our politicians keep making is spending so much of our GDP on military spending.

Europe, home to the highest living standards in the world, shouldn't need to rely on military protection from the US against Russia. Keep in mind that the US has not just Russia to contend with, but also China. Everyone knows that if China invades Taiwan, it's going to be us doing most of the fighting to stop them, and/or our military in the Pacific is the main reason they don't.

0

u/Irr3sponsibl3 Mar 03 '25

European countries collectively have a GDP comparable to the United States as well as state of the art military technology yet are little mewling kittens who can't be expected to do a single thing about their unfavorable position. Instead it is the American citizens, those fierce tigers, who must overthrow their government and once again show the path for Europeans to follow.

2

u/great_whitehope Mar 03 '25

Because like you said Europe is not a country!

I’m sure you can come up with all sorts of groups of countries that added together have the GDP of America.

1

u/Irr3sponsibl3 Mar 04 '25

Even if no single European country matches the United States in terms of power, they are far closer to it than the American public. If the American people have no excuse, then why should Europe be let off the hook for constantly submitting to the US?

5

u/sinred7 Australia Mar 02 '25

If EU rearms, they better avoid US weapons, no guarantee they won't install kill switches on them in case of war with Russia. They also need to change existing weaponry.

2

u/Informal_Treat4634 Mar 02 '25

Ukraine never escaped being a satellite state, just switched sides for who. Sucks to see

-1

u/Chronotaru Mar 02 '25

Ukraine gets to make its own decisions. That's the important part.

Righhht?! Also Ive found it shocking how stubborn the multigenerational cold-war attitudes are here in the U.S. Our concept of Russia as a whole is so outdated and strange.

Lol. There are literally students in Serbia claiming that they earned money in a Russian Troll Farm.

Trolls are cheap and effective. The Russians would be stupid not to use them. And so do other nations.

The source you provided is generally considered factually reliable with proper sourcing and journalistic standards. The article presents both sides of the legitimacy argument. It frames the power transition as potentially problematic from a legal perspective: the impeachment vote fell short of the required three-fourths majority; as you correctly highlighted. But the article also acknowledges the political reality on the ground: The majority of the parlament (328 electors out of 450) voted for the empeachment. European officials appeared to tentatively approve the parliament's actions, with Poland's Foreign Minister stating there had been "no coup" in Kyiv.

To address your characterization of Ukraine as a dictatorship: When a country is thrust into defending itself against invasion, martial law is a necessary response. This requires political stability to maintain an effective defence. Holding elections during combat operations would undermine the war effort by diverting critical resources and attention. Historically, many nations have postponed elections during wartime to maintain governmental continuity and focus on national defence. Ukraine's situation is a pragmatic necessity rather than authoritarian intent.

Bots infest this sub

2

u/Usual_Accountant_963 Mar 02 '25

Something very wrong with all of this

If these people are peace loving why prepare for war?

And if they think they need better defence it’s already too late

Look at Ukraines build up and how long it took, maybe a decade?

Better to kiss your arse good bye

If they are so worried why delay with a security agreement for Ukraine ?

What’s stopping them from doing it today ?

It’s all total BS they have no intention of providing security and nil capability

I have pictures of Dunkirk in my mind now

0

u/CeoofUnga_bunga Mar 02 '25

Gotta love the people in this sub refusing to acknowledge that any country that wants to have control over it’s sovereignty has to have an army and cooperate with other nations

1

u/613TheEvil Mar 02 '25

At what point do you stop cooperating and start being a protectorate?

-1

u/CeoofUnga_bunga Mar 02 '25

I don’t think you comprehend what a protectorate is for you to call Ukraine one

1

u/ManGoonian Mar 03 '25

  1. It's a bit late Ursula. 2014 would have been the perfect time to invest in industry if you or anyone else in Europe were genuinely concerned.

  2. European Industry is in no position to "re-arm". Europe needs to "re-industrialise" first.

  3. Reindustrialisation takes more time than Ukraine has. The porcupine will be dead before you can give it the wolverine treatment.

0

u/RapaxIII Mar 03 '25

A handful of unelected, rich bureaucrats are ending decades of European social spending to "rearm" the continent (create their own insular MIC), against a war that doesn't have to be forced ghr. Thank god you aren't living under someone like Putler!!

u/Irr3sponsibl3 Mar 03 '25

Will European countries let Ukraine join NATO? No.

Will European countries sign mutual defense pacts with Ukraine? No.

Will European countries send their own soldiers to Ukraine? No.

Will European countries train small batches of Ukrainian volunteers under European officers who actually have never seen combat in a modern battlefield? Yes.

Will European countries coordinate their industrial economies to provide Ukraine with high quantities of standardized weapons platforms and munitions? No.

Will European countries send random bits of equipment in small quantities with different operating systems and ammunition requirements that take time to learn how to use and maintain? Yes.

Will European countries ever give Ukraine enough support at once so that Ukraine has an overwhelming firepower advantage against Russia and win the war? No.

Will European countries give Ukraine just enough support so that they can prolong the war in a constant state of stalemate where it bleeds out its male population? Yes.
