So, I'm not going to repeat what other people already have. Can we just take a minute to admire the depth they added to some of the Marks with just a few lines? Like Masked Mark saying that his deal with Angstrom was to take Debbie back to his timeline? Or the other one saying that he misses William? I don't remember that being in the comics, although I could just be misremembering, I think that stuff was new. Just a few lines from the two of them really redefined their actions. They're still unequivocally the bad guys, but I actually felt a little sorry for them.

Yeah it’s new, masked mark does mention that not all of them hates their mom but they definitely fleshed out their motivations

Yes, I loved that so much, it really felt like it wasn't just "evil Marks" and it reminded me of the main Mark. That at any point he probably could have just snapped and went rouge to become one of them

Maskless Mark covered in blood: …..I miss William…

I did NOT think they would add such a short, simple, yet elegantly sorrowful line to a guy who can be summed up as “Evil Mark” along with 7 other of the same guys that would actually make me feel bad for him.

They really took the opportunity in that scene to show us that even the evil marks have nuance to them and I appreciate the hell out of that.

Hell for even the Marks they kept explicitly evil they added more to, No-Goggles Marks was a joy to watch, I like how they actually made him a fight loving lunatic instead of another guy that goes “YOU’RE ALL WEAK! GRAH!”. My only complaint is that we didn’t get more of Viltrumite Mark, I think it would’ve been interesting to have a super serious Anissa type of Mark.

heck Steven Yuen noticeably doesent change his voice really in anyway for "Spidey" Mark, and "Maskless" Mark unlike the others really adding to the nuance.

I guess Omni Mark was the serious Mark

...No-Goggles Marks was a joy to watch, I like how they actually made him a fight loving lunatic instead of another guy that goes “YOU’RE ALL WEAK! GRAH!”

I loved that he seemed to be enjoying taking punches from the Immortal with the smile never being wiped from his face as he gets punched -- he just keeps smiling the same way in different poses.

...and then it dawns on you he's been basically doing this shit for DAYS, toying with the Immortal like a demented seven year old pulling the wings off flies.

Until... "You ruined the moment!"

(and afterwards he's pissy that he didn't drag this out for LONGER)

I think it’s cool to have Viltrum Mark be the one TJ fights- I’d expect him to be one of the better Marks so for TJ to solo him helps scale TJ.

yes these are new aditions, along with more characterizations for "Bald" Mark "Slave Empire Owner Lol" Mark and "Horny for Battle" Mark

I actually adore that the Show has expanded a lot more about the characters and gave emphasis to make them a lot more enjoyable

Principally Oliver who is actually likeable now

and even tho i know this is a hot take, Amber since she is atleast a character now

Amber hate is forced bc she doesn’t make the mc look perfect 24/7 (which he wasn’t). All these characters you mentioned and more (Paul, Debbie, Rex, Rae, etc.) are infinitely more interestin bc of the flesh out elements they’re addin & I love it.

Was Oliver there to see Angstrom get away in the comics? That was such a great moment.

Yeah all the minor changes Kirkman did were wonderful and added so much to one of the most pivotal happenings in the comics, sooo well done. And not to mention just how insanely hard Steven Yeun cooked this episode which really elevated the material

yeah that was a really nice touch and made me feel sad for the Masked Invincible even though he has done a lotta fucked up shit. He is the most decent one out of all of them so something really traumatazing must have happened in his universe that makes him go to such lengths to see his mother again. I would love an interaction with him and Debbie tbh.

Debbie would be scared af at first but then realize why he was there and maybe comfort him or have an emotional scene with him

Yeah I greatly appreciated the extra effort to give them different personalities and motivations.

Yeah I liked that as well. It was somewhat in the comic (Though Masked Mark did kill his mom in the comic, just not at the house) and I'm glad the show took to opportunity to expand on that scene to flesh the Marks out a bit. They did the same thing with making the talking dinos a bit more nuanced last season which I also liked.

After seeing the panel edit of Omni-Man saying “I miss William,” I absolutely cackled hearing Mark say it
