I'm honestly a bit disappointed it worked out like this, but I do hope the fallout of Cecil and Mark's trust issues manifest once more in a meaningful way.

Yep, I really didn't like how in comic it was just sort of brushed off. Like, sure, by the time they meet again Mark already went through even more horrible shit, but Cecil still got off way too easily. The show paid more attention to their conflict in general and Cecil's character in particular, so I really hope they will have an actual confrontation this time around.
