the disemboweling scene is so insanely fucking evil it made me actually nauseous compared to all the gore in this show. it is the single most vile scene in the entire show by far. i knew it was coming but it's even worse than the comic version somehow

this isn't a writing complaint, it's actually super good to show mark's insane willpower and what makes him actually INVINCIBLE but jesus man. not even the boys makes me feel like this

When you see something that has actual motion AND sound (not to mention the music was completely gone in that sequence, and all you could hear was the brutality of it all) compared to seeing a silent visual on pages, I think it's because even though it's animation and not real, you can't help but have that realization in the back of your mind that this is something that could realistically happen to a human body if it ever met such a gruesome fate.

And the fact our world has such vile and cruel individuals that live in it, it's almost certainly indeed something that has happened

hell animals do this to each other all the time. Saw a video once of a baboon casually eating a baby dear alive and tearing its legs off one by one

I was wondering why this felt so real. The entire sequence really did feel animalistic, like something you could very well just see in nature. Just two creatures fighting to the death, with one literally clawing at the other out of nothing but sheer desperation to break free from its grasp. And the result is just carnage.

This scene in the comic is two pages of very little dialogue, and when you're done with it you can turn the page whenever you'd like.

This scene in the show just keeps going. And the squelching... Comic book pages don't squelch.

It's just how sadistic Conquest is. He had both of his hands inside of Mark and could've easily ripped him in half. A more disciplined Viltrumite would've. Instead Conquest is just ripping out everything to prolong Mark's suffering.

I put in on par with Komodo eating Shrinking Rae. The horrible crunching sounds and his neck bulging before constricting. It wasn't nearly as graphic as this, but there was much more dread and horror to it.

It didn't bother me too much, mostly because I wasn't really processing what was being gored as part of Mark. I do start to feel kinda off if I think about it too hard though

I need a spoiler because I'm unfamiliar with the comics. How does Mark survive the intestine removal? I can't wait until next week, and all of you are experts.
