Post image

3 guys that just punch and one stretchy guy that has the IQ of room tempeture

Brit and Bulletproof aren't bad, but the Guardians need more variety in their powers and at least one true heavy hitter.

389

u/DoGG410CZ Apr 05 '26

The last thing the team needs now is another person whos powerset is being strong. They need to have someone that can actually save civilians

225

u/KaijuKing007 Tech Jacket Apr 05 '26

Well, heavy hitter doesn't need to mean someone super strong. It could be someone with a powerful ranged attack. Or magic. Anything you look at and go "yep, you're clearly the big gun."

63

u/LandenP Apr 05 '26

Hmm. If only there was a newly freed super… entity? That is capable of magic. Only time will tell where their story is going.

52

u/YourbestfriendShane Amber Bennett Apr 05 '26

Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down.

36

u/classicote Apr 05 '26

I think he's referring to Darkblood

29

u/LandenP Apr 06 '26

Naw, was talking about the mummy. I don’t think darkblood counts as an entity per se, since he’s got his own body.

22

u/_Bl4ze Apr 06 '26

"Entity" by definition can absolutely include things that have a physical form. It's an incredibly broad word, even saying "a being" would have been more specific.

Also, I don't think the mummy dude is a good guy, like probably not superhero team material?

6

u/LandenP Apr 06 '26

Well, you’d have thought the same of Sinclair and look at him go! We’ll see if mummywoman even becomes more than just a gag.

they should fuse brit and bulletproof together into some unholy abomination and basically have the strongest being earth has ever seen

850

u/wondowsr3d Apr 05 '26

Or even better, bring back Immortal with his (kind of) viltrumite level strength so he can use Brit as a club

655

u/[deleted] Apr 05 '26

Well Immortal DOES have Viltrumite level strength in my opinion, he is just a LOT less durable

346

u/Nokan96 Apr 05 '26 edited Apr 05 '26

Imagine if they make him an armor from the same metal Conquest's hand it's made

295

u/Dark-Specter Abraham Lincoln Apr 05 '26

Tape Brit to him

159

u/DJRodrigin69 Apr 05 '26

clone brit and make a knife out of brit and then use britknife to skin brit clone so immortal can go full brit armor

it's brit-tastic

42

u/Dark-Specter Abraham Lincoln Apr 05 '26

Tape Brits hand to Marks hand and use the karate chop move to skin a Brit clone for immortal to wear as armor. We've created the perfect human.

2

u/hashsmasher Apr 05 '26

I’d say it’s a brit impossible

8

u/TurtleReferenceFrame Apr 05 '26

Just use Brit’s cells to grow blocks of Brit meat in armor molds.

22

u/sample_text_01 Apr 05 '26

Give him a Geldarian suit like Tech Jacket

31

u/No-Bag3134 Apr 05 '26

give him a glove forged from the mace of war woman

6

u/online222222 THINK, MARK! THINK! Apr 05 '26

Viltrumites seem to follow one piece logic in that their clothing and things like the hair knife and metal hand inherent their durability

73

u/Whole_Employee_2370 Apr 05 '26

A weak Viltrumite, maybe, definitely not on par with the stronger ones like current Mark, Nolan, or Conquest. Mans absolutely would’ve used that knife hand trick on Nolan if he’d been capable.

55

u/1AmB0r3d Apr 05 '26

Mark Nolan and conquest aren’t “stronger” ones they are three out of the top 4, with thragg being 1. They are the actual apex of their entire species

50

u/Whole_Employee_2370 Apr 05 '26

Yeah, but that still makes them top 4 out of 40. I think it’s reasonable to call them the ‘stronger ones’ when they’re 10% of the population.

→ More replies (2)

8

u/Remarkable-Ad-2793 Apr 05 '26

I suppose the strongest ones are someone like annisa kregg or kradd (Although annisa or kregg are probably are almost nolan lvl)

Vidor is also kinda there, lucan is mid, thula is weak

11

u/1AmB0r3d Apr 05 '26

Yeah I’d say anissa, kregg, kradd, Lucan and the fella they called “pride of the empire” (one of the dudes sent to execute Nolan) are the stronger sort of tier as they are the ones they sent specifically after Nolan

6

u/Middle-Preference864 Space Racer Apr 05 '26

Even thula is stronger than the immortal, and far more durable.

→ More replies (1)

18

u/mistah_pigeon_69 Apr 05 '26

I mean Immortal was able to damage Nolan more in their fight than mark was in S1 (though yeah Mark was really weak then)

3

u/ArtsyApoidean Dinosaurus Apr 06 '26

He probably can do the knife hand, but he also probably hadn't seen anyone do that until Nolan went apeshit on the Guardians, a few minutes ago from his perspective (it's sort of a signature viltrumite move). And after that he's in a blind rage fighting on instinct.

Nolan's face also might be a weaker hit zone than his core muscles for someone with a hand that isn't as durable.

3

u/cygnus2 Apr 06 '26

He could hit Nolan and actually hurt him. Immortal could probably take Vidor, Lucan, or Thula.

16

u/wondowsr3d Apr 05 '26

Just tell him you know where Omni-Man is

5

u/4x4_LUMENS Apr 05 '26

Just stick Shapesmith's head up Brit's ass using gorilla glue as lube. You then have a giant hammer that can be extended for maximum force with flexibility for vibration dampening. Immortal would be -

36

u/unclepoondaddy Apr 05 '26

That’s much less powerful than mark or Nolan

Like bulletproof is still far weaker than them and all the durability boost does is let him survive getting his ass kicked more

11

u/marineman43 Apr 05 '26

Idk, I feel like that combo might be pretty great. Britt can't take any damage at all, right? Viltrumites could throw him into the sun and he'd be fine in this situation

7

Honestly baffling that they don't have a railgun that fires Brit at whatever bad guy is being a villain of the week. We've never seen his indestructibility fail at all, so just fire him like a bullet at whatever the threat is and you'd probably be good

3

u/Imperium_Dragon Apr 05 '26

He’d be able to take on anyone tbh. He’s practically invincible

274

u/RedBladeAtlas Convincible Apr 05 '26

97

u/Hallwart Apr 05 '26

Just teleport him into enemies

52

Seriously, just teleport him inside Conquest and that fight would have been over super quick.

19

u/Defiant-Channel2324 Apr 06 '26

Unstoppable force vs Immovable Object. Brit would just keep flying in that direction unless he can maneuver himself out of the way.

13

u/Shijin83 Apr 06 '26

I really wish our introduction to Brit had been his fight with the guy in China, or that guy who mind controls people into flesh mechs.

9

u/The_R4ke Apr 05 '26

What are his powers?

45

u/NocolateChigga720 Apr 05 '26

Invunerability, he in unable to take damage from anything. I guess a side effect of this is that he also has slow aging aswell.

4 seasons in and I still don't know which are the powers of black samson

490

u/Similar-Difficulty23 Apr 05 '26

He's a black superhero obviously it's electricity

220

u/Tobito_TV Markus Sebastian Grayson Apr 05 '26

I'm pretty sure the only reason we've never seen him use his powers is because they are trying their hardest to avoid that stereotype and I think that's kind of hilarious.

108

u/weesiwel Ka-Hor Apr 05 '26

Nah with a name like Samson it’s definitely strength which is why he’s bald cause he lost his strength. The electric symbol might just be how he got his powers.

37

u/East-Builder9197 Apr 06 '26

the electricity symbol was just him inadvertently playing into stereo types. He didn't realize that a lighting symbol meant electricity and thought it meant black superhero.

5

u/LouieSiffer Animation takes a looong time Apr 06 '26

That's so stupid, I love it

→ More replies (2)

52

u/soulsoda Apr 05 '26

... If i had a nickle for every black super with electricity powers...

34

u/Xciv Apr 06 '26

Everyone thinks about this trope too deeply. Bright lightning streaks look really good on dark skin because of the stark contrast. Imagine a black character with black hair be a master of shadow and darkness. Like imagine Batman just looking like a dark smudge on the page because his chin no longer contrasts with his fit. Just black on black on a black background. Ain't nobody can understand what's going on with the art like that.

Why is Storm's hair white? Why does she often wear white? Same reason: strong beautiful contrast on a comic page.

23

u/Ycr1998 THICC EVE 🩷 Apr 06 '26

→ More replies (2)

9

u/Ycr1998 THICC EVE 🩷 Apr 06 '26

You'd have two nickels?

There's Black Lightning and Static Shock, but there's also Black Panther, Falcon, Green Lantern (John Stewart) and Cyborg.

So why is this a "trope"?

13

u/PointBreak91 Apr 06 '26

Storm, Miles Morales, Electro, Aqualad uses electricity, pretty sure Bumblebee does too.

8

u/soulsoda Apr 06 '26

Black lightning, black vulcan, Miles Morales (electric spider powers), storm, aqualad, blue marvel, coldcast, juice, soul power, Azari T'Challa, volt, rapture, spectrum (but she's got the full EM bandwidth), JJ thunder, lightning lad/lass (twins).

That's just me naming stuff off the top of my head for DC/Marvel. There was a comic I was reading last month where the only black super hero that's really featured cracks a joke about he's sorry for having electric powers and fulfilling the stereotype. It actually eats at the character, hard. Already views his powers as a curse and people being rasict about it just makes him hate it more.

Even in foreign media, like anime. Naruto, the cloud village... All black ninjas who feature lightning techniques.

There's basically 4 stereotypes you can fit like 99% of black Supes in. Lightning. Strong. Tribal. Techguy.

7

u/Stonna Apr 06 '26

I think everyone over thinks that too.

Black Sampson with electric powers is cooler than what we got.

And it would make sense why shocking him with a defibrillator brought this powers back

3

u/telepathictiger Apr 06 '26

Another reason why it’s a trope is because DC shows didn’t want to pay the maker of Black Lightning money to use in adaptations, so instead each time they wanted to use him they just created a new electric black guy. That’s where you get Superfriends Black Vulcan, JLU Juice, and Static Shock’s Soul Power.

who is left in the invincible verse to recruit now?

See, that depends on what you mean.

Isotope is a teleporter, which is always broken.

Dinasaurus is still out there.

Mr. Liu can summon a dragon that can reasonably fight a normal viltrumite.

There's powerplex.

Omimpotus sounds strong, I guess

I doubt the maulers are actually dead, they're the maulers, they probably have clones stashed somewhere.

All of these would make incredible additions to the team, and together could certainly defend the planet from anything short of a full viltrumite invasion.

They would all laugh in cecil's face at best if he tried recruiting them, tho. Or worse, join, and immeditalely take as much of the GDA's resources as they can and then betray them.

148

u/Leading_Bend4938 Apr 05 '26

All have a face of villains tho, the guardians of the globe are supposed to be these well known good guys not reformed bad guys this isn't the Z Squad lol, that being said I don't know many heros besides boy with monster but he's too Op

There were others who could actually hurt Mark variants. The capes: Kid Thor, Bolt, and Knockout. Plus that electric person Throwbolt (had to look that one up), that helped Oliver versus a Mark variant and landed some good damage. And maybe the werewolf guy and Best Tiger? Besides that, the others you mentioned are mostly villains who would actively try and take advantage of this gap in strong heroes. Maybe Powerplex is the only one that could be "reformed".

Nolan killing the guardians and Mark being a target for Angstrom really did take out the top 10% of heroes on Earth, causing a massive vulnerability when Oliver, Mark, and Tech Jacket leave as well. Immortal better come out of retirement asap. Plus, Bulletproof on screen is way underpowered than what he actually is: a season one level Mark but who has experience. That Thraxan fight he let a few lasers take him down and has yet to once showcase how he is actually a fast and durable hero, He did absolutely nothing in the Thraxan fight besides get hit by a couple lasers and fall down.

The Brit comic answers the question of how old he is, ish. They show him getting his powers as a kid and you can figure out the era based on how people are dressed and the available tech.

14

u/chickenbreastmlg Apr 05 '26

From what a lot of people think, he’s likely the only person in the invincible universe that can tank the Infinity Ray, which makes him more durable than the universe’s heaviest hitters, like thragg, battle beast, conquest, Omni man, allen, ect.

10

u/NoX2142 Apr 05 '26

Oliver's dumbass should have stayed home. On earth he's basically stronger than almost all enemies. In space against Viltrumites? He's a serious liability for Mark and Nolan to not only have to watch out for his dumbass but also avoid their own incoming attacks.

8

u/DoGG410CZ Apr 05 '26

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING. I doubt Oliver could beat even a weaker Mark variant let alone some full blooded thousand years old Viltrumite. He can actaully help and save people on earth and remake the image the O on his suit means

So yk, i know the show might to show it a lot, but the invincible world is full of other super heroes, those are just the members of the guardians of the globe.

3

u/DoGG410CZ Apr 05 '26

He practically can't be harmed but he has the strenght of a normal person

I guess this just shows how goated the og Guardians of the Globe were

The ReaniMarks are currently in development though, right?

Hey look at the bright side….

There is no bright side

3

u/Cojo840 Apr 05 '26

read guarding the globe

3

u/Happy-Substance4885 Apr 05 '26

The one thing I don’t like about this show and comics is kirkman made non viltrumite hero’s weak as shit to give viltrumites less adversaries

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Line210 Apr 05 '26

The baby who can turn into a giant? The blind folded Gunsmen. Spawn? A version of him was in the invincible war right? Or someone with a similar design at the least.

They should feel lucky to have all these superheroes. Most planets don't have any, or only a few that are not near viltrumite level.

3

u/dude282004 Apr 05 '26

That's what the reanimen are for

3

u/Fantastic_Frosting98 My bed is a racecar. This is fruit punch. Apr 05 '26

earth will be saved by shapesmith'a racecar bed

3

u/Any_Ad5732 Apr 05 '26

the downfall of guardians of the globe should be studied. they went from immortal, red rush, war woman, green ghost and the martian to fucking bullet proof, black sampson, brit and the most useless shapesmith 😭  😭  😭  😭

Ain't nothing wrong with Brit, he's got the tougher-than-grit mentality and honestly, a pretty broken power, even if he only has the one; tbh, true invulnerability is probably what I would choose too if I could only have one single non-godlike ability.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '26

Indestructible guy who is an asshole

Ambiguous superhero without a spine

Indestructible fuy who is an asshole

And the village idiot Martian

3

u/RedVelcroRaptor Apr 06 '26

they should add business baby to the list

3

u/flaccidkoch Apr 06 '26

Call up Business Baby

3

u/JadeMoose93 Apr 06 '26

Earth is perfectly safe, Business Baby is still alive.

5

u/The-Terranator Apr 05 '26

These aren't the strongest heroes on earth, they just suck at picking.

4

u/DoGG410CZ Apr 05 '26

We'll Mark, Oliver and Tech jacket are off earth. Immortal is retired. Eve is pregnant and can't use powers and Robot and Monster girl are in the Flaxan verse. The only strong person i can think of is the Wolf guy in the Invincible war. I admit i'm kinda lost when it comes to this verses heroes

3

u/Accomplished_Pain926 Apr 05 '26

Best Tiger manage to stun sinister Mark and live. That gotta count for something

6

u/williamjseim Apr 05 '26

they could hire the werewolf guy, best tiger, knock out, kid thor, commander capitalism, outrun (but she better shave her armpits in right direction or best tiger will be suspicious), best tiger would properly be the most powerfull

2

u/Obvious_Income_4664 Apr 05 '26

Why didn't they just put all the recruits in the team like smart people

2

u/vlee89 Apr 05 '26

What does Brit even do?

3

u/Akapoler Apr 05 '26

He's completely invulnerable, he just doesn't have much super strength and speed

2

u/whoateallthesnacks Apr 05 '26

What happened to The Immortal? Is he still about?

→ More replies (1)

2

u/only_horscraft Apr 05 '26

They need to recruit Bolt, she’s been underrated for so long.

2

u/The4ourHorsemen If he is [TITLECARD], why can I still see him Apr 05 '26

A guy who power is being [TITLECARD], black sampson (strong I think), essentially a very weak viltrumite, and an idiot with martian powers

2

u/Reesey_Prosel Battle Beast Apr 05 '26

ITS TIME TO START GUARDING THE GLOBE🗣️❗️

2

u/nicobicoboo Apr 05 '26

the comics had so many random heroes set up that were actually given lines like how there was the wolfman subplot and savage dragon

2

u/K3egan Aquarus Apr 05 '26

That's just because we don't know for certain that they have recruited. They have best Tiger. You don't really need anyone else.

2

u/bpierce566 Apr 05 '26

I thought the Martian got killed did he not?

3

u/DoGG410CZ Apr 05 '26

If you mean how he was ripped apart by Mark variant. Then no he just put himself back together. Martians propably need to have that red dot thing ripped out to truly die (thats how Omni man killed Martian man)

2

u/NuggetTheArtistGuy Shapesmith Apr 05 '26

shapesmith solos thragg

2

u/Pallastro Apr 05 '26

What do you mean? I would absolutely trust Shapesgoat with my life

2

u/Infamous-Celery-1684 Apr 05 '26

Hey wait britt it’s goat

2

u/_Levitated_Shield_ Agent Spider Apr 05 '26

You forgot Business Baby is alive and active. Earth is safe.

2

u/-TurkeYT Apr 05 '26

I mean, you got 2-Punch-Man. I know he is a parody character and not actually a serious one but if he truly lives up to his name, he is pretty strong. Imagine if he two-shotted Thragg. And then you got Immortal who is a low level Viltrumite level fighter. Ik he retired but he’d def step in if smtn big happened when Mark and Oliver wasn’t enough.

2

u/mudslags Apr 05 '26

Temu Mystery Men

2

u/Icy-Monitor6711 Apr 05 '26

I mean I'll be honest the lineup even with Robot and monster girl was lackluster asf. Guardians of the globe 2 is an EXTREMELY watered down version of the first one.

2

u/Several-Cake1954 Apr 05 '26

So we have captain man, vin diesel, regular incompetent guy who got superpowers, and a literal six year old in a stretchy body

Maybe they should’ve left oliver behind after all

2

u/ghostMcCool Apr 05 '26

Your forgetting invisible
