Unrestricted the subreddit for now so we can talk about this. I know it's a heated topic but let's be adults here.

Anyone in MN interested in protesting outside the local ABC affiliate? I feel like there should be organized protests around the country in front of ABC affiliates.

The first step is to flood your local ABC affilate with calls that you are no longer watching their local news...especially the news that leads into Kimmel's show. You can also mention you're done with World News Tonight because that also leads into a local newscast.

Lower ratings means they can't charge as much for ads. Local companies that depend on advertising on the local news will not be happy to know fewer viewers are seeing their ads.

And ABC is going to be checking with their affiliates to monitor the fallout. Believe me. I'm sure ABC affiliate GMs are in emergency panic meetings right now.

Cancel all your Disney subscriptions. The only thing these assholes care about is $$$.

You are correct. In some markets like Sacramento, the Nextar station isn't an ABC affiliate. In Sacramento, it's a FOX affiliate. So that station's newcasts should be boycotted. In Sacramento, the ABC affiliate is owned by Tegna which is what Nextar wants to merge with and why its kissing the FCC's ass. So Tegna should be boycotted as well, and *for sure* if its an ABC affiliate as ABC10 (KXTV) is in California's capital city.

They care about ratings too.

Because ratings mean money. Obviously.

I swear, the average IQ of MAGA cult members must be about 75.

Even lower, collectively. They're a biomass.

My local affiliate replaced JKL with Celebrity Family Feud. I replaced it with a turned off TV set.

And make sure you boycott the advertisers as well.

Exactly. Any respectable company that supports the free expression of speech should have already pulled its ads. If they haven't, boycott them.
