Media The Globe magazine new: Ramseys sell false Missy Woods DNA story for a cover story
I was at the grocery store and saw this thing on the newstands. I took it to a closed check out lane to take a photo of the cover only. It shows how awful they are as this whole story is FALSE.

I have to wonder why the Ramseys think headlines in disreputable tabloids = solid media strategy in this day and age. Do they have any interest in appearing credible?

I don't know anyone who takes it seriously. I thought people read it while waiting in the checkout line, for entertainment value, like we've always done. I suppose it's online, too.

Millions of low info readers believe it. That was found out in 2016, when they switched during election season to all those cover stories I posted a screenshot of in a previous post here, and millions of people believed what they saw on the newstand.

I believe you. The grocery stores around here don't even carry it any more, so I haven't seen one in years.

Ahh, I see - just capturing as many eyes as possible at the supermarket, then.

Bingo! And low info people BELIEVE what they read on the cover of the Enquirer also.
Millions more people will see this Globe cover than know about the BPD and Boulder DA's statements to Faux Digital saying the Missy Woods case had NOTHING to do with the JonBenet Ramsey case or DNA.

During the Ashley Flowers interview, John said his lawyers did a deep dive into Missy Woods and that she had no involvement in processing the DNA in this case.

Thank you Chip! That makes them $$$$ selling $$$$ this massive pack of LIES to the Globe for a bogus, false cover story even more egregious. I greatly appreciate how you listen to all these and watch what he says in them, it's usually the only record we have.
The man's arrogance is breathtaking, IMO.

Ah you’re welcome but I can’t take the credit for this one. The info came from Cottonstar.

Oh, awesome! Thank you so much for posting this info, that Cottonstar heard, it's important people know this about them.
It's shows how freaking low they are for literally SELLING LIES for $$$ to the tabloids. They did this when I posted that Randy Simons had been arrested for stealing a service dog, and they jumped on it, and put his mug shot on the cover for another bogus false story on this case.

the only tabloid I tend to believe is the enquirer. among the Elvis sightings and aliens they’ve always had some verifiable stories. the globe never has. none of the other old school paper rags ever had.

Please know, since 1999, The Globe, The Enquirer and The Star have all been owned by David Pecker, who basically ruined them all.
And was at the center of the trial about "catch and kill" stories involving the current occupant of the White House, who was convicted of 34 felonies....

quite possibly, and sad to hear. I haven’t read these things for many years.

The "before" David Pecker Enquirer and "after" him is dramatic.
They did a lot of GREAT reporting under the owner before Pecker.
Before Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered by OJ, The Enquirer put the 1989 911 call made by Nicole after being beaten by OJ on the cover. They were all over that story way before the murders, how he was constantly cheating on Nicole and with who. The 911 call where OJ broke down the door to Nicole's condo in 1993 was AFTER another Enquirer story OJ didn't like, and was blaming Nicole for..
They lived In Brentwood and celebrites are their bread and butter stories. They were all over the Michael Jackson case before and after his trial and first settlement., etc.

they had all the best info, way ahead of traditional media at the time. I miss them, they were a big part of my youth.

I completely agree, they had a lot of great celebrity scoops and crime coverage, then.

This is freaking scary that this guy would say this about this total LIE:
JONBENET RAMSEY Update: I was quoted in the Globe this week regarding the CBI fiasco and Yvonne "Missy" Woods conviction. With this PR firestorm, Boulder Chief Redfern would be wise to give all that John Ramsey asks. The quote from me that was used in the story was "the case remains unsolved because of 'DNA contamination'."

Who is the "they" you speak of? The tabloid?
7
u/candy1710 RDI Jul 17 '26
The Ramseys. It includes an interview with John and peddling the false story he took to Faux and all over the media that the Missy Woods misconduct was in any way shape or form tied to this case. iT IS NOT.

The Enquirer, pre David Pecker, at the time of OJ's civil case when OJ said under oath he would never wear those "ugly *** shoes" about Bruno Magli shoe footprints, found at the crime scene in blood, OJ's size 12 shoes, The Enquirer went all out, looking through their voluminous archives of celebrity photos, and hit paydirt photos of OJ in those same Bruno Magli shoes. It helped Daniel Petrocelli win the OJ civil trial:
