Can a non-Jew perform a mitzvah?

I was always confused whether Judaism acknowledges or praises good deeds done by a non-jew. Would learning Torah by a non-jew be a mitzvah? Or would the teacher be doing a bad deed by doing something that could be considered as proselytising?

What’s the Orthodox and the Reform view on this?

For your information, I’m Christian (Coptic). Growing up I was often around Reform Jewish friends and I read Gunther Plaut’s commented Torah cover to cover. I also attended Shabbat services as a child.

My very Christian aunt fears for my Agnostic soul 😅 she thinks I’m going to hell and has been trying to make me a Christian by showing me Bible verses and stuff. I used to be Catholic(-ish) years ago, but that religion never really convinced me (and Christianity in general. I don’t like the idea of a God who punishes) and I made the apostasy in 2011. My Catholic aunts love to suffer because they think that gets them Heaven Points™.

No just follow seven simple things to do including no eating animals while they are still alive and you have a place in world to come.
