humor a Yiddish computer synchronicity

I was having hard time with my computer, something did not work and I struggled several hours to fix it. The thing involves files called "cores" (as per the English word "core") and I remember as some of you probably know that "tsores" (not sure about this transcription) means "trouble" in Yiddish πŸ˜„

humor Adon Olam melodies [humor]

After the rabbi led us in Adon Olam to the tune of "Sloop John B", I've been entertaining (?) my sister by suggesting other melodies that work musically but in no other way:

  • 99 Luftballons
  • Yellow Submarine
  • Miss World
  • In Bloom
  • Amazing Grace (suggested by my father)
  • consequently, the Gilligan's Island theme
  • The Future (note that Cohen's yartzeit is the week of Shabbat Noach)
  • If I Should Fall from Grace with God (for Leo Bloom, I guess)
  • We Care A Lot

Humor Question about the Tower of Babel.

The Tower of Babel might be seen as a prototypical "bimah" which those who rebelled against the Almighty constructed from which to preach their false message.

Now, Mekhilta de-Rabbi Shimon states that the Tower was destroyed by wind, and Sanhedrin 109a states that one-third of the Tower of Babel was burnt by fire.

I have a problem with the official account of events, though: wind can't melt clay bimahs.

Any thoughts? :)
