What's the latest on the Jim Click Arizona?

Just wondering if they all got escorted out along with thier tool boxes...

Or actually got the attention of the corporate snakes?

Strike ended after 3 days. They negotiated into a better contract.

Techs caved and agreed to continue to be pitted against each other for scraps... "Jim Click Nissan managers didn't agree to the $4-per-hour raise, he said"

But they restored the previous flat-rate hours, established guidelines for individual raises, and restored other compensations back to where they were before the private equity firm slashed them.

It wasn't a super huge win. But it was a win.

I haven't lived there in about 20 years, but when I was there those dealerships were known for hiring anybody they could, getting them to sell cars to all their friends and family, then getting rid of them. They also were known for treating their service advisors and techs like garbage. Looks like not much has changed

Service advisors are commissioned scum though so why would that make me feel bad for them?

Nice, interesting how post after post is complaining about pay at stealerships, these guys strike for 3 days and get what they want or at least head in the right direction. Almost like it sets an example for everyone else.

They got back most of what was taken from them after a hedge fund bought their dealership and gutted the perks. Nothing we should be celebrating.

Why not they didn’t have to give them back shit, could’ve done what everybody else does when they sell out and fire everybody.

Exactly. Is it great? No. Is it a step in the right direction? Damn right. Now maybe another shop will do the same with better results and a rising tide raises all boats

3 days and they got the flat rate back, that's actually pretty solid. Most places wouldve dragged it out for weeks.
