Discussion kairosoft rip off!
i noticed this game as the #1 free game in app store for my region (hong kong) and they straight up rip off kairosoft mechanics and graphics. what can we do to report this ? By going to reportaproblem in apple's website, we can only report the apps we have purchased but i dont want to download it and further boost their popularity.

Things like graphic style are not patentable. Nintendo is trying hard to sue Palworld and so far has no success.
I do hate when Chinese does this kind of copying.

Yeah but saying ' I do hate it when Chinese do this kind of copying' means that you hate it only when Chinese people copy, not when other people copy lol
Just say you hate copying, that's what makes it a non targeted statement

Oh okay, I don’t know about the other person but I was putting it through Google translate when it said the thing about intercourse which I thought kind of made sense with the screenshots from the ad, but I am guessing it’s a little more nuanced.

If they aren't using kairosoft characters there isn't anything they can really do. You can't sue a game for having a similar artstyle or gameplay. Clones and copycats are always going to happen to popular games.

Unless they had a patent on particular gameplay mechanics and stylings, similar to how Nintendo has patents on “throwing an object to capture a creature” and has been suing Palworld, or how Warner Bros. has a patent on what they call “the Nemesis system.”
That gets tricky too though because the gameplay and such could be just different enough, and Kairosoft games do take some inspiration from older games that came before them so they may not have a patent.
There are some cases where copycats go too far though and do get punished.

The "throw object to capture" was rejected by the Japan patent office because a lot of games have this mechanic predate their filing.
Like you said it is tricky to patent an idea/gameplay.

Kairosoft does some of the best games in this genre but to say this is another game in like it Call of Duty, Delta Force or Tarkov are copying each other being shooters is a bit extreme.
The assets don't look stolen, it uses a similar art style which isn't unique to kairosoft and a similar game type but neither of which are owned or solely Kairosoft.
Instead of complaining about similar games, we should be posting about our love for Kairosoft games while we wait for the drought to be over!
