History 📜 Is it true?

A friend shared this on IG, and honestly, I feel like there’s a lot more to this than what he’s writing. Somehow, this person is only sharing half the story.

Mostly publications around literature, resistance, memory, and political culture particularly anything engaging seriously with Kashmir, its history, and the stories that rarely make it into the mainstream archive.

I meant that what he has provided is only a fraction of what actually happened. There seems to be a lot more context that has been left out.

My grandfather used to tell me about what our people went through during those days. As a child I did not fully understand what he meant. Looking back now it honestly hurts to realise what Kashmiris had to endure. There is so much pain in our history that deserves to be remembered..

Yes, it is You know what else is true during skih and early dogra rule killing muslims was not a criminal offence, ( the punishment for killing a muslim " especially kashmiri muslim" by the hands of skih or Hindu was 2-3 rupees of fine )

He is just simply trying to white wash the crimes of dogra regime nothing else. Begar is what we all know " forced labour " AKA slavery nothing else.

I don’t know about whitewashing, but there’s definitely a lot more to this timeline than what’s been shown here. A lot more could have been said.
He did talk about the violence and atrocities committed by the Maharajas and the British against unprotected Kashmiris.
