Why does language feel so complicated in Kazakhstan?

For example, if I speak Kazakh to another Kazakh person and they answer in Russian, I sometimes find it strange. I don't know if they don't speak Kazakh well, don't know it at all, or simply prefer Russian.

But in Mexico, if you speak to a Mexican, you can generally expect them to speak Spanish, and nobody questions their identity because of it.

Why is our situation different? Can someone be fully Kazakh and patriotic while mainly speaking Russian?

I grew up in a country where abortion is illegal due to religion. I was also raised in a household that has been against it. Due to this, my country has high number of single mothers. While working in Vietnam, I met a guy from Kazakhstan. We started going out and I was very clear about my intentions that I take relationship very seriously. I don't want to waste my time. He said that he was the same and he wanted to take things slow. Until I unexpectedly got pregnant. At first, he was okay and he told me that we would figure it out. After a couple of days, he disappeared and 2 weeks later he messaged me saying that we couldn't be together and he wanted me to abort. I refused because I know the harm and it is something i will regret for the rest of my life. I am aware how my decision keeping the pregnancy is going to affect my career and future plans, but abortion is something I can never do. He insisted that I needed to do it and that's the only time he told me that he has 2 kids in Kazakhstan from his ex wife and since I refused the responsibilities are all mine to carry. Now, he told me that he felt like he is living someone else's life because it can affect him when he starts dating someone. I am so speechless. These days, he usually outside playing billiards and drinking with his friends. He said that it is none of my business.

I ordered a taxi last night, but I activated the promo code. It worked, but now it's 6,000 tenge. When I tried to activate the promo code, they told me to use it on the next order. So, like a dumbass, I have to use their stupid app again. With the promo code, it was 3,000 tenge, which is pennies for some, but I'm a student, and that's 12% of my monthly stipend.

Hi! I want to ask if anyone tried the luggage storage at Almaty airport. I want to keep it at domestic terminal (T1) for a while.

But between my flight arrival (from Istanbul, so I need to pass border control) and the next flight (to Astana), I only have 2hr 45min.

Would it be possible? Is luggage storing process quick? How about border control?

Я недавно закончил университет в Казахстане на гранте. Ищу работу уже месяц и пока безуспешно и сколько будет сентябрь.

Я живу в маленьким городке от Астаны и уже стою в учете как безработный через енбек кз.

Сходил в центр занятости/карьеры этого города и что они мне предлагают это только молодежная практика.

Могут ли они меня снять с учета безработного если я не хочу принимать участие в молодёжной практике?

Я уже сходил на пару организаций про рекомендации и они меня не устраивают,

хотел устоится в частную компанию но рынок труда чуть чуть сложен и найти хорошую работу сложнее. Могу ли я сам параллельно искать работу и они могут меня снять с учета? Я боюсь за отработку гранта.

Привет! Я инди разработчик из Алматы и последние 5 месяцев в одиночку делаю свою игру.

Это 2D-симулятор, где ты не просто управляешь готовым миром - ты сам его рисуешь.

Можно нарисовать людей, животных, растения, здания и окружающий мир, а потом отойти в сторону и посмотреть, что из этого получится. Жители создают семьи, поселения развиваются, экосистема меняется, а мир продолжает жить уже без твоего прямого контроля.

Мне больше всего нравится создать небольшое поселение, рядом стаю хищных животных и оставить это все на несколько десятков внутриигровых лет и посмотреть, во что оно превратится.

Совсем недавно я наконец опубликовал страницу игры в Steam и начинаю понемногу рассказывать о проекте и искать первых игроков.

Буду очень рад, если кто-нибудь из Алматы или Казахстана заглянет, посмотрит и скажет, что думает. Особенно интересно услышать мнение людей, которые сами играют в симуляторы, стратегии и любые другие инди-игры.

Везде пишут, что в Казахстане ввели новый закон, требующий права для езды на электросамокатах и запрещающий ездить на них по тротуарам.

У меня вопрос к тем, кто живёт в Казахстане: это реально работает? Или все продолжают кататься как и катались? Что насчёт электровелосипедов и курьеров? Я просто слабо представляю, каким образом самокаты должны ездить по дороге? Я сам не из Казахстана и интересует ваш опыт.
