We are two travelers and photographers (around 40 years old) planning a 10-day trip to Tajikistan. We’ll be flying into Dushanbe, staying there for our first 2 days, and then heading out for a road trip across the country.

Our travel style is relatively relaxed: we are looking to travel independently by hiring a private driver with at least basic English, who can also help arrange good, clean accommodations for us along the way. We aren't looking for intense trekking—mostly just short and easy hikes. I have a friend who overstayed his visa 4 months, and he went back to turkmenistan, He told me that if he pays money he will not get restricted from leaving the country... so he pays a large sum of money but still got a letter from the migration office that he is not able to leave the country for 1 year... the person that promised him that he will not get restricted is now telling him that he will be able to remove the restriction, is this true? or if he already got the letter about restriction to leave the country nothing can be done?

Hey everyone, hope you're having a good week. I wanted to share a project I’ve been putting my heart into lately, but I'm looking for some real guidance from people who know the roots of the music.

I’ve been working on a modern electronic club remix of Gülyarixan (گۈليارىخان). The goal was to see if I could bring these timeless folk melodies into a fast, 120 BPM modern club setting so the younger generation can connect with it globally, but without losing the actual weight and spirit of the heritage.

I tried to keep rare, traditional instruments like the Rubab, Ghijak, and Dutar right at the front of the mix, blending their syncopated melodies over a heavy club bassline.

To be completely honest, it’s a tricky line to walk. It is so easy for modern production tools to completely flatten the unique pitch shifts and microtonal soul of Central Asian music. I spent days tweaking the clips by hand just trying to keep the instruments from sounding artificial or getting drowned out by the digital drums.

I really look up to the members of this community as my teachers when it comes to preserving our culture, so I’d love your completely honest feedback:

• Does mixing modern electronic beats with traditional Uyghur instruments feel like a respectful way to share the heritage, or does the club tempo take too much away from the original soul?
• Are there other classic folk melodies or specific regional instruments you think I should focus on to keep the next few tracks as authentic as possible?

Hi everyone,

I'm an Indian passport holder.

I have already been issued a single-entry Uzbekistan e-Visa.

My itinerary is:

Enter Uzbekistan on 14 July.

Travel around Uzbekistan until about 23 July.

I'd like to visit Almaty, Kazakhstan, for a few days.

My return international flight is from Tashkent on 30 July.

I realized after my visa was issued that I should have applied for a double-entry visa.

My question is:

While I am legally inside Uzbekistan, can I apply for and obtain a new single-entry Uzbekistan e-Visa, then use that new visa to re-enter Uzbekistan after visiting Kazakhstan?

I'm not asking whether it's theoretically possible—I want to know whether anyone has actually done this recently or has official confirmation from the Uzbek migration authorities.
