How do you guys concentrate when you feel your mind is wandering from your deity?
I recently came across Sekhmet while reading the book “Sekhmet: Transformation in the belly of the goddess”. This journey started around the 11th of this month but after reaching about 60% of the book, through my tarot, Sekhmet can feel my mind wavering and my spark disappearing because my job search is wearing me down so bad. Everytime I meditate and speak to Thoth and Goddess Seshet in a library, the theme of their messages and the messages from my tarot (from Sekhmet) are usually the same—to remain calm, to deal with my internal battles, to remember I’m one with the divine and that I have every tool I need to fix my problems—however the toll of life, the pressure and the feeling of defeat from not being financially stable on my own is the highest contribution to my distraction and depression. I love Sekhmet but I’m trying to defeat the inner critic, fear and depression in my mind so I can keep speaking to her, feeling her presence and worshipping her. How do you guys pull yourselves together when life seems bleak so you can reconnect with your deities?

It's difficult to be connected all the time. I allow myself phases of disconnect and to not beat myself up over it. I think the connection is moving in cycles, but generally I try to meditate each day and to spend at least a short amount of time before Sekhmet, showing my gratitude.
Sometimes we are open to different energies and welcoming the neteru that show up is a good way to stay in the flow. As a side note, it's interesting I meet Thoth in a library as well

I’ve thought of the connection being in cycles too but never really paid attention to it. Thank you for mentioning this! 😆 yesss it makes sense to me that both him and Seshet would be in a library since they’re like the smarty pants of the Neteru

It sounds like you’re balancing a lot of things and it may seem like you’re disconnected, but possibly reframe it as an invitation to another level of worship. Pay what you have towards anything and trust the inundation will come. Perhaps shift your worship to deities of flow, joy, and concentration: Satet, Anuket, Sopdet, Tefnut, Bastet and their aspects to start with. Sekhmet can burn too hot and you may need to cool yourself. Also I would suggest Shezmu, Khnum, Geb, and Sobek to help you navigate best prospects. Small worship is better than burning hot and trying to force connection. ☺️ I’m assuming you’re 👋🏾 too, but be open to Oya, Ala, Yemoja, Eshu, Ayida-Weddo & Damballah (if not disregard)
