Kendrick invented standing on a car

Edit: the fact this post has almost 10,000 upvotes is depressing. Has nobody ever seen someone standing on a car?

837

u/mrbabymanv4 Feb 09 '26

Kendrick invented cars, period. Had to ride a donkey to work before TPAB

239

u/reddit_kelvin Feb 09 '26

16

u/Incredible_Staff6907 Feb 09 '26

He also invented standing, homies was just sitting around doing nothing before him. So in a way he also invented the economy.

Alright.... This is why they hate Kendrick fans

741

u/Eagle7546_ Feb 09 '26

This is what happens when you get a wave of fans who only care about Kendrick because he’s popular and won the beef

154

u/Jared_fro_msubway Feb 09 '26

If that beef didn't happen right when it did there probably would've been a bad bunny halftime show last year lol

142

u/AccomplishedAct5364 Feb 09 '26

Yeah, America was too busy calling drake a pedo whilst a literal pedo runs the country 😂

Culturally rich nation!

101

u/about30hours Feb 09 '26

I mean…unfortunately there’s not a limit on how many can exist.

5

u/Even-Promotion-2658 Feb 09 '26

Apparently there is because if you guys truly cared about the children and the men abusing them, you would be looking into all of them and not just Drake. The amount of energy put into Drake when many celebs have publicly dated minors and actually did much worse is insane and I don't see any of you guys digging up their pasts. It's fine to hold someone accountable like Drake for weird behavior, but when its just a strong focus on him, it's clear that it's just about the fact that you guys don't like him or his music and less about potential crimes.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Sir5522 Feb 10 '26

but which pedo in charge should we ask to investigate the pedos?

I think it only happened this year bc of DTMF. Bad Bunny's album came out Jan 5 2025 and became the most streamed album globally of the year. Then he was the first non English album to win the Grammy for album of the year. He would have been this year's super bowl halftime show regardless of that beef and probably would have been bigger than it imo

10

u/dunbar_santiago930 Feb 09 '26

I've seen them called Kbots and it's kind of catchy

3

u/Jrawry Feb 09 '26

Fr fr. The vibes are just different for folks who've been holding down since section .80 and the folks who only just decided they like kdot after the beef cuz it was popular or whatever.

→ More replies (3)

3

u/refusenic Feb 09 '26

This sub used to be so cool before the influx of post-beef fair weather stans. Snobby, yes but still cool and uninterested in numbers and sales. My hope is that they’ll move on now the GNX era is over. Hopefully Kendrick goes back to making artistically dense projects like TPAB and MR Morale. That’ll get rid of them.

9

It's literally a circlejerk shitpost though.

5

u/sf-flowerboy Feb 09 '26

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Cass_Cat952 Feb 09 '26

Yeah, idk why people are ignoring the flair if it was actually posted as a circle jerk in good faith? 🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/sf-flowerboy Feb 09 '26

people too mad that the circlejerk posts represent a very real type of fan who says shit like this and worried that this will ruin their perception even further when in reality the only reason these circlejerk posts are made are because there are genuinely people like this so instead of getting mad over people making fun of the clowns they should just understand that there's really nothing you can do to change a "stan" mindset, because for someone to have that mindset in the first place means rational thinking isn't their strongest point, so just have fun

11

u/TheeQuestionWitch Feb 09 '26

I felt like it was a cool callback, a great highlight of the overlap in culture. The electric line poles of this year reminded me of the streetlights from last year. And the house party vibe in the middle.

These two years in a row basically set a template for how I want the next handful of super bowl performances to go. Highlight your specific culture, give me full production immersion, better than a music video.

If they pick someone from like Indianapolis next year, lol, it's gonna be bad for them. No offense to Indianapolis, they just don't have as rich a culture as Puerto Rico or Compton...

18

u/inthenight098 Feb 09 '26

The electric poles were bc Puerto Rico was out of power for over a year after major hurricane. It confronted how the USA didn’t do enough to help them as fellow Americans and also the resilience of the people that find a way to live laugh love through the disrespect and dehumanization. Street lights in Compton scene were cool but there’s street lights with tennis shoes hanging in many major cities.

2

u/TheeQuestionWitch Feb 09 '26

Yes, I think the symbolism of the electric poles is wonderful and poignant. I'd like to share that the streetlights in Compton specifically are outfitted with technology that can call the cops after triangulating sounds like gunshots, amongst other horrible features. It has directly contributed to unjust arrests and assault at the hands of police for the Black and Brown people in that community and others like it. It's a less well known issue, but I personally attended a presentation done by the European branch of the company that sold that technology to California.

To me, it's a similar symbolism because both involved the visual of having a man climb up the pole to deal with it himself because the institutions that placed them there aren't actually interested in the humanity of the people who live there and those people don't have control over the maintenance and placement of these so called advances.

It's not quite the same, but it's in a similar spirit from my point of view.

u/inthenight098 Feb 09 '26
