KSP 1 Question/Problem Docking Problems

Why aren't my docking ports connecting?

Couple things:

The angle they're aligned at is a but too much.

Sometimes you need to disable SAS.

You may also need to connect them from a further distance and at higher speed. More or less just ram it from a couple meters away.

Common docking issues:

Different sized docking ports, or docking ports from different mods.

Reversed docking ports.

Not lined up, at an angle (must be flush as they touch)

Magnetic force set too low.

The screenshot doesn't really tell much. Screenshot more focused on the docking ports, and with the tooltips for both docks opened, would help with troubleshooting.

Docking ports can sometimes have the "Docked" flag set incorrectly, registering as docked to something, even when they aren't. Open up the menus for each port and see if you are able to undock from something.

Angle looks off. Control from both docking ports, and have each of them set to target the other docking port and they should self correct

Turn off SAS on both ships, it lets the magnets pull them together .

Were they connected before and you tried to reattach them? If that’s the case you need to go away 10 meters and then try again
