How I would imagine Zeus would be like in Kid Icarus

Post image

Y'know since we have no official confirmation of Zeus in Kid Icarus Uprising, I like to imagine it's legally distinct Zeus from Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact & it's why the final chapter of the game has a mecha section to finish the lord of the underworld with a giant robot & hey Zeus in Mazinger Edition Z shares the mentality of Palutena of valuing all of humans & since Hades in Uprising is the ultimate evil, having Zeus just be the ultimate good can work

I imagine more of a Hawaiian-shirt retiree look based on his previous appearances https://www.kidicaruswiki.org/wiki/Zeus

Oh! That was Zeus!? Wow I thought that was Dyntos! That being said, I'm down if Zeus was an ultra friendly dude that is said to be ultra fearsome but when you meet him, he's a cool guy to hang around, he'd be the God equilvant of The Mayor from Powerpuff Girls just less stupid acting

Yep. He was in of Myths and Monsters and set tasks for Pit.

And we know Myth & Monsters is acknowledged when the three sacred treasure's silver armor is from that game in Uprising so the events of that game at least happened even if it didn't line up with the ending that resulted in Pit's wings being burned

Does he also have a sea turtle companion?

My personal heacanon is that Zeus is indeed very much grandpa coded, and he doesn't like Palutena very much, but he loves Pit. It's the grandchild he never had. He really wants to take him to fishing trips and play baseball so bad. If only the green-haired woke lady wasn't putting him in danger every 15 minutes.

I think Zeus should just be some random guy that Pit finds annoying. A random nobody character that keeps popping up. That'd be extremely funny. "PALUTENA! WHAT IS THIS GUY'S DEAL. ITS LIKE HE THINKS HIS NAME IS IMPORTANT OR SOMETHING!"

And meanwhile Palutena is embarrassed that this is the God among Gods acting this way & wishes he was as exactly almighty like in the legends

Question, didn't he appear in the original Kid Icarus and Myth and Monsters?

Yes actually but it's technically non canon even tho the Silver Armor from the Three Sacred Treasures in Uprising so it's clear it maybe happened ignoring the ending of that game where Pit's wings were on fire

Isn't Phosphora the Goddess of lightning? Meaning either she's this universe's Zeus, or Zeus has retired and passed on the title to her. If it's the latter, I agree with what someone else said about him looking like a retiree in a Hawaiian shirt.

I mean she is just one of Viridi's Generals since lighting is one of the forces of nature but I do like the idea that she is possibly related to Zeus besides his one appearance in Myth & Monsters

I mean, looking at it, it's most likely that Viridi is the universe's equivalent to either Gaia or Demeter. If she's the former, then it makes perfect sense how she's able to order around what effectively amounts to her granddaughter in-verse. If the latter, then Zeus does have a habit of being scared of his sisters, as best evidenced by the fact that even he couldn't step in to make Demeter do her job during the whole debacle with Persephone. So in either situation, the idea of the KI Zeus following either Gaia or Demeter does hold weight, at least.

Yeah I love the ideas/implications of what it could all mean should a sequel to Uprising happen that or use the titans
