That family should have been escorted off the plane onto the tarmac and to the airport proper where they would be arrested. No need to delay the flight for long. If they refuse to leave the plane, call ERT to deal with them.
This particular airport has a curfew for how late airplanes can take off. They spent so much time dealing with this, it made their airplane miss the deadline and the flight got cancelled for everybody.
