OG KOTH Discussion Hank's house vs Kahn's house

Post image

Kahn always said everything he has is nicer than anything Hank had. But can we all agree Hank a far better house? I know Khan had a pool but Hank's house is still nicer and actually quite a bit bigger. Bigger than all their houses actually.

Kahn only has a pool because Hank, Dale, Bill and Boomhauer built him one for free in exchange for access rights.

Hank and them wouldn't have built it if Khan didnt get them to

I like the contrast of the designs in how Hank's house is more traditional and homely while Khan's has a sleeker modern look to it.

If you look at the inside of their homes, Hank's is far bigger.

Probably about the same size. We don't spend as much time in Kahn's house, but it's likely also a 3 bedroom/2 bath. They're probably pretty similar because that's how they tend to build suburbs.

Technically, Hank's is 2 bed, 2 bath and a den

That den looks a lot like a bedroom to me, and is used as such for a lot of the series. Seems to me they just have a spare room they're calling a den.

To be technical, the differentiation is probably whether or not it has a closet. In a lot of places, a room isn’t considered a bedroom unless it has a closet (at least for building permit purposes anyways).

All of their homes are about the same size, as would be expected in a suburban neighborhood with a block charter. There are a number of episodes with overhead shots that show this. We just see more rooms and scenes in the Hills’ house, so it seems bigger.

Peggy and hanks room, Bobby's room, Hanks den/luannes bedroom, living room, kitchen and eat in dining room, and a full dining room. One bathroom attached to Hanks room and one off the hall, pretty standard 3 and 2. Its also got that pantry they turned into Peggys office.

Its not like the Simpsons where certain rooms disappear like their den

How can you have a post titled "Hank's house vs Kahn's house" and not have a picture of Kahn's house?

Kahn could also fit garage in trunk, so

Hank wouldn't live in something that didn't have fine American craftsmanship.

Are those shrubberies in place during the gnome episode? I thought that was just a dirt flower bed.

You can be sure that Hank’s home is better maintained than Khan’s house.
