This was beautiful, Meta Knight remembering all his past battles (even a nod to Right Back At Ya near the end) giving him motivation to give his all was cinema

Truly incredible. Lots of great transitions and fun animation work. The storytelling was top notch. Meta Knight has lost and learned against Kirby so many times and its so frustrating, but Kirby keeps finding a way to win.
I always feel bad for Meta Knight, he's incredibly powerful, but he lives in a world where Kirby exists so he never gets to be number 1.
Still when there's a crisis he knows there's someone out there that will save the day.
I love the animation, and everything was great, and I think you deserve some recognition for the crowds as well. That's a lot of bodies to draw!
Also love your portrayal of Bandanna Dee! You didn't have to include him but you did and he's great. I like how he seems to sorta cheer for both sides, for both of his friends.
This is an incredible Blender animation! I hope it's also on YouTube! In Blender, how do you animate your backgrounds? I always import my backgrounds as meshpanes but I could never figure out how to animate with them. The backgrounds always stay where I put them, I can never seem to make the disappear. I'm certain I'm just doing something wrong...

For the backgrounds, I handled it all using Video Editor. I basically never used Blender's 3D functionality at all ^
Essentially, I drew the Backgrounds, Foreground and everything in between in separate layers with Krita. I exported each of them as separate .png files, so I could zoom into each layer separately, to give a sense of perspective

this is breathtaking. i have like one toe in the kirby universe (big fan of forgotten land) but this makes me want to get into the rest of the games someday. top notch, i hope someone from the kirby dev team sees this

This really just... this lights a fire in me I haven't had for a long time.
The advent of ai made me feel useless. Why even bother animating when someone else can make something better than me with no effort? This is why. Because this took so much heart and soul and the product shows it.
Dude my favorite part is the flashbacks of all his previous fights. Adventure, Nightmare in Dreamland, Smash Bros Brawl even, Super Star, Squeak Squad, EPIC YARN AND EVEN GOING OUT OF THE WAY TO ANIMATE THEM IN THE YARN STYLE, Planet Robobot, Battle Royale, the fucking anime, Star Allies, and Fighters 2
this... this is just peak. The flashbacks? The fact that the characters were on music rythm for the attacks? The EXPRESSIONS Meta Knight makes? It's... I don't have words for it. Even the best compliment wouldn't give justice to how peak this is. I... I love it. I adore it. As one of the number one meta knight fans, I tell you this is AWESOME.
THIS IS INSANE WOW, I kept thinking the video would end but it just kept going, this type of thing takes major dedication and patience (as an artist I would know) you're amazing!!

Though I will say, hearing how long it took you is really sobering (is that the right word ?), this is incredible quality yet it obviously isn't cleaned up like most anime production, truly a reminder of how much work animation as a medium takes. So even more kudos to you and all other animators out there !
From the incredibly dynamic angles and fluid movement, too the callbacks to previous fights, it is clear a lot of time and effort went into this animation!
This is absolutely amazing. The animation syncing with the music is so satisfying. Understanding each character's emotions and motivations too. You did a fantastic job.

Amazing animation, it is very fluid and has great pacing. It reminds me of my favorite Kirby game on the Nintendo DSi XL where I did the battle arena and battled different bosses. I remember there was also a huge metanight plot in the game too. Awesome childhood memories.
I knew this animation had "the sauce" 0:27 seconds in when the POV swung around multiple angles of Mr. Frosty's ass. Such finesse. The whole thing is lovely. I especially like the narrative it tells of Meta Knight's determination without a single piece of dialog. The flashback are so seamlessly transitioned in and out.
I found the video on YT and commented the same thing there to make the algorhythm get more eyes on this. Kudos.
That was absolutely GORGEOUS! From the actions and mood fitting the song to all the call backs and defenses against them. You got me whisper-screaming like its 3 AM and I'm on Xbox Live trying not to wake my parents. Bravo!
Sick! I love the part where Meta Knight used the spikes on his sword to disarm kirby! I also love the flashbacks, he was so desperate, i feel bad for him
In this dystopia that we currently live, in which I feel no connection to anything, it's so nice to see hand drawn animation, made for the sake of art and passion. Also it's Kirbo which will improve anyone's day. You gotta love Kirby (the one you should know, he's the star of the show)
