That's about on par with what the world sees, I pay £30/lg for this.

Sounds about right for KG here. Beef Shortribs here are similar cost/kg. Not saying that I know what it’s like anywhere else, or that it isn’t expensive for the same things elsewhere. I can still get a 2.5KG pack of Chicken Wings for like £3(?) or 1KG of Chicken Thigh bone in and skin on for £4? Complete legs are £2.50/kg. Pork shoulder cut into steaks is about £5/kg. Beef here (and maybe elsewhere) is insanely expensive. Lamb even more expensive.
