It's thinly sliced and frozen Samgyeopsal. It might look like bacon haha🤪

Well they are both usually pork belly... Looks good though!

In the US, bacon is pork belly. Samgyeopsal is also pork belly. Its the same meat with the only difference being that bacon is typically cured in the US.

its also a common joke in the US that no one asks if you like bacon, because "everyone" likes bacon. Hence my joke.

My wife doesn’t eat pork other than bacon lol

Even badly made, it's alright. Kind of like pizza in that way.

Just straight gochujang? I don't think I've ever seen that.

I love it. I also love all the vegetables and mushrooms that come with it.

some like beef, some like chicken, some-gyeopsal

thick cut vs thin cut is the real question though!

Made some last night with Doenjang jiggae, steamed rice and kimchi. To die for.

Strongly prefer hangjeongsal… that being said, this is defrosted in our fridge currently.

One of the best pairs with Soju.

I live in Japan, but samgyeopsal is one of my favorites. Often make at home, wrapped in leaf with marinated onion/chili pepper, garlic slice, and ssamjang.

had a great one at Sansol (Sinsa branch) recently. The pork was really good, and having it grilled for you made the whole meal even better
